GROUP I HAIRSTYLES GROUP II HAIRSTYLES
are visible from about the chin line up when seen from the direct front. are flat on top, close to the sides, and all down.
KEY FOR COMBING HAIRSTYLES IN THIS GROUP: The outline of the hair together with the chin line, should have a general oval shape. Your eyesautomatically follow along the dotted line to complete the oval outline. KEY FOR COMBING HAIRSTYLES IN THIS GROUP: The outline of the top and sides (excluding the curls) together with the outline of the lower half of the face should have a general oval shape.
Notice that the hair is widest where the oval is widest The outline of the curls must take a graceful curve. (Be sure the outline of the curls does not take a straight line.)
SQUARE FACES are best complemented by hairstyles in Group I. (Hairstyles in Groups III and IV are next best.) This is the best hairstyle group for LONG FACES. (Hairstyles in Group I are next best.)
