Bridges:-

Bridge (structure), structure designed to provide continuous passage over an obstacle. Bridges commonly carry highways, railroad lines, and pathways over obstacles such as waterways, deep valleys, and other transportation routes. Bridges may also carry water, support power cables, or house telecommunications lines.

Engineering of the Pyramids:-

Exclusive article on Pyramids below

Text Box: Exclusive article on Pyramids below
Since the time they were erected, nearly 5000 years ago, the way of construction of Egyptian Pyramids still remains today a real enigma that contemporary technologies are unable to solve. The theories that have been put forward until today by various authors are opposing to each others and could not satisfy entirely the practitioner of the Art of building. None of them has ever offered a truly scientific, technical and operative approach, not more that any element of convincing evidence.

:-

reinforced concrete is a common building material for the construction of facilities and structures. while concrete has a high compressive strength it has a very limited tensile strength. To overcome these tensile limitations reinforcing bars are used in the tension side of the concrete steel rebars have been and are an effective and cost- efficient concrete reinforcement , but are susceptible to oxidation when exposed to chlorides.

Skelton structures:-

It can be said without any doubt that the basis of Skelton structure is the truss. truss serves many purposes in different structures as in roof, bridges etc. and if compared with frame structure it has many plus points along which one of the most important is the economic factor is most important.

For better understanding of the trusses

Foundation Types:-

foundation are the 1st and the most important part of building.the whole life of the building depends on the structure and the durablity of the foundations.for different types of the building different types of the foundation have to be desingned as there are different required for any sturctures and also climate conditions also affect the type of the foundation that must be designed.

Ground improvement Techniques:-

improving the ground conditions means to enhance the physical properties of the soil such as density ,shear strecght parameters etc. in ground improvement an engineer's ideal approach will be to have max. shear strenght parameter, have min compressiblity ,and min permeablity.engineers all around the world use different kinds of techniques according to the local conditions of the soil.

 Building collapses:-

Good designing and good workmanship plays an important part in the stablity of the building but the importance of the good stable foundations can not be over seen.most of the builings collapse not due to faulty or ignored constructionbut due to faulty foundations in brief we can take the example of sant Frances dam which had faulty foundations. but on the other hand the importance of good design and good workman ship plays a critical role in the stablity of any building. To find more about building collapses

Advanced structures:-

Eracting a structure is not as tiresome as maintaining a structure. In the advanced civil structures are developed the attention is given to developeing such structures kind of structure that demand less maintance  and can provide more detailed real time information about their current state. In this regard not even such kind of structures are built but latest technology has also been used in monitoring such structures.

 Irrigation Engineering:-

supplying water is one of the major responsiblity of the engineers.in this part irrgation engineering has become the essential part of the engineering society. not only supplying water to the different parts of the country is the main object of an irrigation engineer but to design safe and economical structure like dams and to determine safe and economical way of covaying this water where it is needed are the jobs of the irrigation engineer.
