An Insight Into CCD Astrophotography

CCD Equipment

CCD Astrophotography

[CCD] A charge-coupled device (CCD) is a sensor for recording images, consisting of an integrated circuit containing an array of linked, or coupled, capacitors. Under the control of an external circuit, each capacitor can transfer its electric charge to one or other of its neighbours. CCDs are used in astronomy (particularly in photometry, optical and UV spectroscopy and high speed techniques).

[CCD REQUIREMENTS] The following is a list of equipment essential to get started on CCD imaging:
1) Astronomical telescope or camera lens
2) CCD camera
3) Mount (an accurate mount that tracks properly is important)
4) Laptop (for image capture and processing)
5) And more...

Nebulae (CCD-based)
