Three looks Fall shows came out long ago, but when fall hits, everyone will be wearing the trends. Here are some things you might not normally wear, but which will likely look great on you.
1. Akiko Ogawa.
Get yourself a pair of great slim-fit pants (to make your own, sew the inside of the pants legs with a wide stitch to make it fit you), and top them with a black tank top. Go comfortable with a long cardigan and flats. Keep makeup sparse and put your hair partly up with an elastic. Casual chic.
2. Tracy Reese.
Belt up your favorite separates to make a dress. Take one lacy tank top, a full skirt (from last year), and a cardigan. Tie the cardigan at the top with a length of coordinating ribbon, add a belt or sash if desired, carry your fave little bag, and add strappy sandals. Finish with another length of ribbon as a headband.
3. Michael Kors.
The long jersey dress is back, and with a coordinating scarf it's lovely. Top with a warm coat and you're ready for winter, too. Don't forget the shades to keep off that lingering sun, and loose I-miss-summer hair. Swap the tiny bag for a big, long one.
Men can go with slim pants as well, with oversize jackets or mix and match of pinstripe with solid. Again, the warm scarf and sunglasses are key.
