Today as we celebrate our mothers, let us remember those gone before us and the contributions they have made. Today, we celebrate and acknowledge the contributions of our mothers volunteering in our community. I wish to reiterate the appreciation and gratitude of the members and myself for your support and concern shown towards the success of this event. It is my hope and wish that this event will inspire all of us to reflect on the role of mothers in our lives. We therefore have a duty each one of us to cherish our mothers. In a twinkle of an eye, all we are left with are memories. I asked of you this. Extend your arms and embrace your mother or mime if you can. Let's all do mother proud. To this year's recipients, congratulations. To all mothers, Happy mother's day. I would like to borrow from Guyanese Poet Peter Jailall, this saying ... 'walk good Guyana gal' and to you all, God's blessings."
