The contributions of the many volunteers are recognized annually. Mother volunteers are celebrated and rewarded at the annual Mother's Day Luncheon and Awards, while the fathers are recognized at the Father's Day Luncheon and Awards event.

These contributions are recognized in six (6) categories.

  • Parenting
  • Education
  • Community Achievement
  • Arts/Entertainment
  • Caring & Sharing
  • Life Time Achievement

Nominations from the community are welcome. The deadline for nominations for Mother's Day is April 24, 2000. The deadline for Father's Day is May 15, 2000. Nominations may be submitted by telephone (416-665-9442) and email. Sponsors are also needed to provide donations for awards (i.e. a recipient plaque; tickets for the family's attendance, etc.). Please help.

Sponsors are needed to sponsor awards (i.e. recipients' plaques) and their families' attendance. RTGA offers two complimentary tickets to the recipient when there are no sponsors.

Awards are between $75.00-$100.00, which includes the cost of plaque, and inscription lettering. Because the recipients' family members' participation in the event are considered, sponsors are asked to donate between $150.-$200.00, per recipient. However, RTGA accepts any form of donation to offset cost. No donation is refused.

The tickets cost $15.00 per person for the Awards Presentation and Luncheon. The ticket covers one's admission, luncheon and entertainment and the entire day's program. It does not cover any alcoholic beverage.
