The Region 3 Guyana Essequibo Association (sometimes referred to as R3G) on 3 Guyana Essequibo Association was founded in November 1991, by former residents from the Essequibo Coast, Islands and East Bank Essequibo, for the express purpose of addressing the Educational and Health issues of Essequibo. These issues are addressed through unity and fundraising initiatives. Proceeds from our fundraising initiatives are use to assist with the Educational and Health needs in the Essequibo Islands and the East Bank Essequibo areas. We also acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of volunteers of Guyanese origin in the community with our annual "Mothers day and Fathers day" Luncheon and Award Presentation. Objectives: To promote unity through fellowship and fundraising in the Guyanese and Canadian community. To assist the people in Region 3 with education and health supplies. To assist other Guyanese organization with similar objective to achieve their goals. To celebrate the diversity of Essequibo. To acknowledge the contributions of volunteers in our community.
