Support of Businesses & the Community

The support and trust of the businesses and citizens of the community is the most important goal. A promise made must be a promise kept! The ongoing visitation program to include all businesses has been extremely successful in identifying potential new business leads, and retention of current businesses. This administration is proud to announce that we have attracted fifty-five new businesses, have seen twelve expansions of existing businesses, and retained one of the top five taxpayers.

Additionally, for the first time since the 1960's, we have two new investments moving forward on Goodale Boulevard. The Members First Credit Union had a groud breaking ceremony this past week celebrating a beautiful new building, and the WW Williams Co. and Continental Real Estate have announced plans for a new Class A office building on Goodale Boulevard. Ted Celeste's condominium project on West First Avenue at Oakland Avenue will be completed this year, adding four beautiful town homes to our community.

The most significant news of the last three and one-half years is that most Grandview will be removed from the flood plain. The result of this issue saves current business and residential hundreds of thousands of dollars on flood plain insurance each year. Because of the improvements made on Goodale Boulevard, Grandview has become one of the most sought after sights in Franklin County. The convenient accessibility to all freeway systems, the safe environment we provide, and the beautiful community we have created are attractive to many businesses nationwide.
