Continuing Goals

Your support is greatly appreciated by Mayor Sexton. During the first three and one-half years of her term in office, she is proud to have fulfilled all of her campaign promises and has respectfully and steadfastly complied with the Oath of Office of Mayor. The promises made during her last campaing were: Frugal Fiscal Practices, Our City and Schools Working Together, Utilize Citizen Advisory Teams, and Regaining the Trust of Business and Citizens.

Mayor Sexton's administration has proven fiscal responsibility by saving over one million dollars and returning it to the general fund account. Additionally, she has held the line on increasing all expenses she has control over. Her staff has aggresively sought and received grant money and free equipment in an excess of $750,000. Creative management of our city government remains a priority, and a daily routine.
