RedTarn's Landfall Rules

1. ) Roleplay Your entrance or be prepared to be ignored. Be familiar with the set up of the Hall given elsewhere. Your exits should also be roleplayed and follow the descriptions of the Hall given. As stated elsewhere, without a proper roleplay exit, you are still technically in the Hall and actions can be taken against you.
2. ) This Home is an 18+ area. Your age must be in your profile. Thanks to the new profiles on Buzzen V2 you must actually enter your age into the "About Me" section. Simple as "Age:{insert age here}". If You are not 18 years of age or over, or do not have an age in your profile, you will be asked to put your age in your profile. If you do not comply and put your age in your profile, you will be kicked.
3. ) Punishments for slaves will be those of Torvaldsland. The kurt, the 5 tailed Gorean slave whip, and being chained. This is not the South. Slaves do not have it easy Here and will not be pampered. Also there will not be any of that "Can only be punished by Owner" stuff. If your slave acts in a manner deserving of punishment in this Hall, the slave will be punished.
4. ) There is no need to karta upon entry. Visiting slaves do need to beg entry and exit but not to greet or to return from being "cupped".
5. ) slaves who come to this Hall will serve. they will not simply sit around and do nothing. Lazy slaves are worthless slaves and worthless slaves are not welcome in this Hall. There are chores to be done, among many other things for slaves to do.
6. ) Restrictions imposed on a visiting slave by their Owner must be in their profile if they are to be followed. If they have no restrictions listed in their profile, they will be believed to have no restrictions and thus will serve as such. slaves currently without a collar will NOT be allowed to say they have restrictions as that is not possible. If a girl has her restrictions listed then they will be followed to the letter. Any Visitor to the Hall who attempts to break a girls restrictions will be shown the door. The only restriction that will not be followed to the letter is the "Only punished by Owner" one. Slaves were able to be punished by any Free for any infraction.
7. ) In RedTarn's Landfall, IM and Whispers are a part of Gor. This rule was first enacted back in the Alar to prevent people from getting angry about the happenings in the room and taking it to IM and expecting to get away scot free because they believe that "IM isn't Gor". Here, it is Gor so don't expect to get away with errant behavior in IM.
   Note: This rule's application is another one of those that is dependent on common sense. If a Free and a slave are discussing obviously OOC things, like the outcome of a R/T sporting event and argue, that isn't Gor. If they are discussing things pertaining to Gor and argue, obviously it is Gor. The Jarl is the final Arbiter of this rule.
8. ) ALL Combat will take place under the Turnbased system. In This Hall there IS no 777 speed posting. It is not anything NEAR realistic and will not be used in My Hall. Instead Combat, whether it is room or formal combat, will be fought under the above named system. More details will be given in a page specifically for combat.
9. ) Force Collarings, Captures and the like will all take place under the Turnbased guidelines as shown on the page for Capture Rules.
10. ) Any weapons must be listed in your profile if they are going to be used. FW with poison pins or daggers must have them listed in their profiles. It is preferred that You describe weapons that can be seen in Your entry post, but if You dont do that, they must be in Your profile or they will not be acknowledged. Walk into the Home without stating weapons and their locations or having them in Your profile and try to use them and in the Judging, there will be no weapons taken into account. Bottom Line is, "Put them into Your profile just in case".
11. ) This Home is zoned simply. It is No Zoned**(See Note below). RedTarn's Landfall is a Gorean Home and there are no zones there. The ONLY Arbiter of happenings in this Home is the Jarl. If something happens in the Home that needs a decision made on it, save it and get the Jarl the scrolls and he will pass a Neutral Judgement on it as soon as possible. As it says in the books: "It is seldom wise, incidentally, to impugn, or attempt to manipulate, the honor of a Gorean."

    **Note: RedTarn's Landfall is a Mirror Zone. This quite simply means that if you do it here you open up your Home to mirror the zones here, regardless of the posted Zones. For Example: If you come here and pick a fight and then run back to your N-Zoned home, Your home is now a No Zoned area so far as fighting is concerned. If you steal a slave here, you open your Home's Zones to allow the theft of slaves from your home. Any questions concerning this should be directed to a Jarl of the Home so it is perfectly clear.~Added 3-18-07~
12. ) In this Home, regardless of the Zones, there will be NO suicides. Any who attempt suicide in this Home will simply be ignored and their foolish actions will NOT be sanctioned.
13. ) Time Away- In RedTarn's Landfall the time away for Death or Character Retirement is 14 days starting the day after you die or make the announcement that you are retiring your character. This includes posting in the papers, on any board except for the OOC one, and also includes going into any Gor rooms, including opening "OOC Gor rooms" to while away your time away. If either are done, your time away will have to begin again or you will be considered a corpse within the ambit of my control and booted and banned on sight until you complete a full 14 days away.
    Abandonment- Abandonment is defined as a minimum of 14 days with a slave having no contact with her/his Owner. This can also be expanded to include minimal contact with an Owner. For example: A slave comes in, having only received 1 email every two weeks from her Owner, thereby ensuring that the slave remains his. This covers keeping in contact, but if this is the only contact the slave has had with her owner, then at My discretion I will recollar that girl to RedTarn's Landfall and have her contact her former Owner and tell him of the event and pass along my email address to contact me to speak about the slave. After speaking with her former Owner, I will decide on a more permanent course of action.
14. ) There is a 15 minute limit on cupping. This applies to everybody, resident and guest. This home will not be a Gorbucks with more cups than people RPing. If you cup for more than 15 minutes, you will be booted from the room. Having to take care of R/L is understandable. If you are going to take more than 15 minutes you need to exit the room and come back when you are done.

15. ) This is Gor. There are no "Gor-Wide" 'Public News Boards' here. Do not bring your agendas and posturing from the Papers to this Home. The 'Papers' are not accepted as Roleplay here, it doesn't matter what the G.R.F.P. says. If you come here and start trouble over words on a message board, you will be booted and banned X24. You will then be placed on a public list of people who are not recognized in roleplay by this Home and will be booted and banned on sight. This is a Roleplay Home, the 'Papers' are not Roleplay and trying to bring Roleplay to this home from the papers is not allowed. If you want to Roleplay, get out in chat and do it.
    Addendum: Complaining about this rule will do no good. It is the rule and it is staying in place. Come to Roleplay complaining or insulting (in speech or action) because of this rule will have the same results. You will be banned and declared 'unrecognized' by the people of RedTarn's Landfall.
