Islamic View of Moses
The Islamic view of Moses is highly similar to the Christian view.  There are some differences but only less important details.  Some interesting points of difference between the two religions of Moses are:
In Islam Moses is named Musa.
Moses was thought to be the messenger of the Koran, in Arabic tongue, although none of his people spoke the language.
Interestingly enough, there are no specifications of a holy book written in a language no one could understand let alone read.
In the Koran it states that God commanded Moses' mother to abandon him and place him in the river but in the Bible this portion of the story is excluded.
God first called upon Moses through the burning bush.  The Koran states the occurrence happened in Tuwa, while in the Bible it claims it was in Horeb.
In addition, the Koran's story of Moses is less detailed compared to the Bible.  On top of that, the Bible contains more references to religious rituals and society.  Besides these discrepancies the story remains basically the same.  God talks to Moses through the burning bush and tells Moses to bring His message to the Pharoah.  Moses performs nine miracles altogether with the parting of the Red Sea being the most well known of them all.  The Isrealites become free but conflict arises as they melt all their jewelry and create a golden calf.  Although Moses was infuriated, their infidelities continued thus causing forty years of wandering in the wilderness.  The perception of Moses wasn't far removed from both religious points of view.  Moses was indeed the messenger that set his people free.
