The final 42 months of the tribulation, the antichrist will be leading a large army against the kings of the north, possibly Turkey or Russian states. Babylon will be destroyed (Isaiah 12 and Zechariah), and the antichrist will move his headquarters to Jerusalem at the midpoint of the tribulation. He will have war with the king of the south (Egypt), and take over Egypt, Lybia and Ethiopia, then destroy Rome and burn it with fire (Revelation 17). The false prophet, most likely an apostate Roman Catholic pope or bishop, will leave Rome and join the antichrist in Jerusalem. Ten "kings" will give their kingdoms to the antichrist in one hour. Interestingly, there are 10 OPEC nations, and all 10 have a ruling king right now, and all are Islamic nations.

Why will the antichrist be a Muslim? The Islamic religion was founded by Muhammed, and when he died, he didn't name a successor. The Suni muslims are not as radical as the Shi'ite muslims. 99% of Iran are Shi'ite muslims, and 30% of Lebanon and Syria are Shi'ite. They are trying to take over Israel, and they have taken over the northern part of Africa.

Since the death of the 11th Imam, the holy men of Islam, and the 12th one came but disappeared while in Samarra, Iraq. The 12^th Imam is the "Al Mahdi", which will come on the scene and convert the entire world to Islam, according to the religion. Here are some of the teachings by the Muslims about the final Al Mahdi that 1.3 billion muslims are expecting to come:

1. he will call all to true Islam and will be a military leader
2. he will be a descendent of Fatima
3. after his appearance in Mecca, he will return to Iraq
4. he will rule for seven years
5. he will come riding on a white horse (Sadam said he wants to ride on a white horse into Jerusalem)
6. they believe Jesus was replaced on the cross, but God took him up to heaven and rebuked him for saying that he was God's son. Then Jesus in the end of days must return and tell the world that he is not God's son. Interesting that 1 John says the "spirit of antichrist" denies that Jesus is God's son.
7. Jesus will fulfill the expectations Muslims have of the false prophet in Revelation, but he will most likely be an apostate Catholic who can perform miracles and wonders
8. Jesus will call the people to Islam, break the crosses, kill the Jews. Jews will be killed and be hiding in the rocks of Petra, and their teaching says the rocks will be crying out that unbelievers are hiding behind them and they must be killed.
9. They believe there will be two people who try to convert the world to another religion, and when their Al Mahdi comes, he will kill them. This could be the two witnesses.
10. They believe that Turkey will fall before Rome falls. Constantinople is the home of the Greek Orthodox church, and in Daniel 11:4, it says the king of the north (Turkey, not Russia since Russia is defeated in the Eze 38-39 war) will come against the antichrist and will be defeated. Then the antichrist will conquer Rome. He will have taken out the Greek Orthodox church and Roman Catholic church headquarters.

All these things will fulfill the expectations of the Muslims for Al Mahdi and Isa (Jesus) in the last days.

Prophecies about the antichrist from scripture:

1. He will be over the oil states: Daniel 11:24

"He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers; he shall scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall forecast his devices against the strong holds, even for a time."

The word "fattest" comes from the word "shiman", which means to oil or grease. The word "province" comes from the word "medina", which refers to the median desert in the middle east. Medina is also in Saudi Arabia.
