There are over 1.2 billion Muslims currently in the world today, ancient Babylon, and this is where most of Israel's enemies are today. Suni and Shiite are the two types of Moslems, and the Shiite are the radicals who hate Israel. Prophetically, they all live in the area of ancient Babylon. Why do they, ALL THROUGHOUT HISTORY, hate God's people?

There is evidence in the Bible that ancient Babylon is where in ancient times the fall of Satan took place. "Babel" means "gate of God" in Hebrew. In the very beginning of time, Ezekiel 28 and Isaiah 14 record, Satan was an anointed cherub that was perfect and guarded the throne. He worshipped at the throne with other angels, and because of pride, he fell from heaven and was cast down to the earth, taking 1/3 of the angels with him. So, what part of the earth did he come to if he fell to the earth? Genesis said he used the serpent in the garden of Eden, which was located in the fertile crescent near the Euphrates river in the middle east. It appears that this is the place where Satan fell and where he set up his kingdom.

There have been 5 dwelling places of Satan on earth recorded in the Bible:

1. the throne of God, or heaven - Isaiah 14:12
2. the garden of Eden - Ezekiel 28:13
3. the land of Babylon Isaiah 14:4-12
4. Tyre in Lebanon Ezekiel 28:12-14
5. the city of Pergamos, in Turkey Revelation 2:13

The strongholds of Satan, therefore, are clearly in the middle east. Notice he wasn't sent to China, or Sweden. He has strongholds in the middle east.

The 10/40 window is an area on the world map that covers all the middle east, China, northern Africa and most of Europe. 1/3 of the world's land area is there, and 2/3 of the world's population is there. It is the hardest place to win people to the Lord. 99% of the world's Muslims are located in this window, and 97% of the world's least evangelized people live there.

Ancient Babylon is at the HEART and CENTER of that 10/40 window on the map. Here is what happened in Babylon, the center of the window (on a map):

1. Satan fell from heaven
2. Cain left the garden of Eden and went east and dwelt there
3. Nimrod built the tower of Babel there
4. Nebuchadnezzar built the Babylonian empire there
5. Three major end-time prophetic empires ruled from the city
6. All false religion stemmed from Babylon

"Babylon" is found 286 times in the Bible, and has a MAJOR place in Bible prophecy. Based on the evidence above, one could easily make the argument that Satan's kingdom and command center is centered there and where he was cast from heaven. Satan is the spiritual king of Babylon, but in the end time, the antichrist will be the actual king of Babylon and control the world for 42 months. This is in the prophecies of Isaiah 14.
