The reader will "touch base" on page 152. Here, the last letter "Z" is introduced. From thereon, the reading exercises contain the basic sight words missed in the previous pages. This manual has a total intake of over 1,050 words and numbers.
The sequence in the introduction of letters and words are on page 165 of this Manual. This guide will enable the teacher, tutor or parent to anticipate what words will be used during the week or coming days. He or she can thus prepare the reader, in advance, to read the new words. This can be done by the use of pictures and other methods in pre-reading exercises.
The teacher is encouraged to improvise sentences using the letters already learned in the day to day lessons.
Avoid proceeding to the next lesson, if the reader has not mastered the lesson for the day. Do not be tempted to use words whose letters are not yet introduced for the day. This calls for discipline but will intrigue the reader to anticipate the new words which will come in succeeding lessons in the book.
