"Elvis has left the Building" was directed by Joel Zwick who turned a sleepy little film called "My Big Fat Greek Wedding"  from a five million dollar budget into a huge blockbuster that grossed over 241 million in the US alone.
Coming into Albuquerque to do this comedy  was a tremendously uplifting experience for all involved.   A fleet of Elvis impersonators were hired on and created for this fun filled project.  Most of the impersonators were local New Mexicans.
Sean Astin, was also in this film. Sean is the son of John Astin (famous for playing Gomez on "The Addams Family" (1964) and Patty Duke,  he also played Sam in the LOTR trilogy.
This is the 3rd film Ric has been cast in for a speaking part.  There was alot of time from audition to filming for Ric. A month of preparation went into it  but it was well worth it.  Ric was fortunate enough to work in a scene opposite one of the Big Screen's leading ladies - Kim Basinger.
The synopsis of the film can be found on
www.imdb.com and other areas of the internet.
It was a pleasure working with Joel Zwick and Kim Basinger -  Thank you for everything - Ric
