Canvassing the Net Vol. 1: MP3s
by: Red Raven
Frustrated by college firewalls preventing access to your favorite P2P programs? Leery of exposing yourself to expensive legal action in this age of ridiculously asinine RIAA tactics? Angry that Naptster and Kazaa sold their souls to the musical monopoly, but you are otherwise at a loss when it comes to alternitives? Then this guide is for you. Inside, I detail a process in which you can find and download thousands of gigabytes of completely free mp3 files through firewalls of almost any type - with complete impunity from the RIAA - all the while using no more software than Internet Explorer and Google.
Don't believe me? Just check it out for yourself.

Evangelion: Take Care of Yourself
by: Red Raven
Part FAQ, part life affirmation, this evolving project represents everything that I have learned and experienced with the watershed anime epic, Neon Genesis Evangelion. What was the meaning behind Evangelion's most famous line? Was there something worthwhile in the series, buried beneath the all the religious imagery and cumbersome psychological nomenclature? What was director Hideaki Anno's true, final and lasting message?
I tackle these questions and more in what has been one of the toughest, yet most rewarding, struggles anyone can undertake: critically examining Evangelion.

FLCL: Never Knows Best
by: Red Raven
After scouring the internet for days on end looking for good screenshots and cool AIM Buddy Icons (Avatars) for the various anime I enjoyed, I finally realized that I would have to matters into my own hands if I ever wanted to find any. The first fruits of my labor born is a visual montage of the quintessential psychokinetic experience known only as FLCL - in the impressive form of 97 self-created Avatars and hundreds of beautiful screen-captures, use of which is free to all. If you're on dial-up, you might be here for a while. |
