Our friends are a very diverse group of people. they are managers, business owners, technicians, blue collar workers and house maintenance tecnicians. It doesn't matter, because they are all the same in our eyes, they're our friends.
I think that friendship is a precious thing, not to be taken lightly. Our friends have done things for us that we can never repay them for. They know that we will do just about anything for them, too. I therefore present this list for your approval, in the Friendship Zone.......(The Twilight Zone Theme song in the background....)
Our Friends, in no particular order?
I hope we don't leave anyone out and I apologize in advance if I do
- Lisa T.-We have known Lisa for a long time-we used to be in a cat fancier's organization, and after the group broke up we remained friends. She was there for us quite a number of times, and we couldn't begin to repay her kindness. Here's to you!
- Joe & Julie S. (Good luck at the lodge!)-I have known Joe for too many years-since Junior High school. We raced slotcars together in the early years, but he got bored or something with it-maybe he was the smart one. He works for an electronics co. doing development & prototype work. Say "hello" to your little one for me!
- Big Ed-A crazy portugese guy that would give his eye teeth for the big bucks. I hope that some day he gets there. Rides a vintage 1982 Honda CB900 Custom that looks showroom fresh.
- Little Ed-I have known him almost as long as Big Ed (about 25 years), I am sure the staff at my old high school thought that he was a student there-except he went to a school across town and was just dating a girl at my school!
- Mark & Dianna-These are some of the nicest people that you could ever have for friends. They are just too nice to us. I wish them well in their new home-I know it has been a dream of theirs for a long time. Good Luck!
- Gary & Angie-Mark's brother and his wife. Another really nice couple. Can't go wrong here.
- Cathy-Cathy used to live in the same apt. complex as us, and we became friends through our children. She has a son that lives in L.A. who works for the county coroner's office! What a Job! She also has a daughter that is close to the same age as our younger daughter. She is very dear to us.
- Evelyn (a very special friend)-Yet another of our friends from the apartments-She is from Switzerland, and she can be very funny at times. Evelyn has really helped us out, which we will never be able to repay her-Thank you, Evelyn!
- Elaine-One of Chris' family friends. She is a very sweet and unique person that we hold very dear to us.
- Shane-man-Here's a guy that would do anything for a ride in a NARC Sprint car! Works part time at the San Jose Speedway as a safety person for the drivers. "Look out Shane, I'm gonna 'Bodine' you!" (inside joke-email for explanation)
- Dave K.(aka "The Crazy Kraut")-Dave and I met in the Air Force, lost touch with one another, and in 1997 got back in touch through searches on the internet. It is a wonder that we didn't get court-marshalled for the stunts that we pulled in the military! He is soon to get out with over 20 years in service-hope Dave hasn't developed a coffee cup hook on his hand yet! (another inside joke) I hope that Dave can get a job in the "real world" with the rest of us! I know I had trouble with the return to civilian life! Good luck with getting your Yamaha 'cycle running!
- Richard J.-Another service friend-He was in the same crowd that Dave and I ran with. we have stayed in touch with each other all these years, a good friend indeed.
- Connie & Richard-This is Elaine's daughter and son-in-law. They are another real nice couple.
- The "B" Man-He is a great guy to work for, and a Sharks fan too. (I won't hold it against him!)
- "Big Al" (aka "The Skipper")-What can I say? this guy is a real jewel of a person.
- Paul and Sherri P-We met years ago when I made my foray back into USRA racing. I have seen them both become world class racers who used to run FlashTrax in Spudsville, USA! I am sorry to say that the track has been closed, but Paul ("Beuford") is up to his ears in armature balancing! Good Luck with your business!
