My Cabrini Impressions

MOTHER St. Francis Xavior Cabrini:

Shall I have a life devoted to love? The love of Jesus on the cross? Is it possible? I find that it is possible only with Jesus living within me; but how can Jesus live within me? These questions have troubled men from before the time when they knew of Jesus, just as they do today.   Mother Cabrini sought Jesus in her life and found Him in service to the poor.   Can I find him in my life?    In prayer we seek Him.    In prayer we talk with him.   In prayer we listen to him.   When we read about His creation and the love he has for His people in the scriptures; When we see how he interacts with them for their care and well-being in the Old Testament; When we see of His salvation promised again and again in the Old Testament, revealed and fulfilled in the New Testament; we know we can live within him and He can live within us.   In the Holy Eucharist, He gives himself completely, body and blood, so that we may partake of Him and live with HIM in his perpetual sacrifice celebrated forever in Heaven.  Prayer is the answer.  Talk with God, tell him of your needs, spiritual and physical.   See how God came to live among us as Jesus, to show us the Fathers LOVE and Salvation in the Mysteries of the ROSARY.   See how he loves us in His Passion, Death, and Resurrection in the Stations of The CROSS.

Prayer
Prayer is the raising of
one's mind and heart to God ,
or the requesting of good
things from God . To get to
know You O Lord my God
I must remember to listen!
