| Stephanie is still on Vacation and has been working on turning her basement into a gym - with a little help from the others. As the work progresses, Leroy happens to mention that he has an electric plug built into his stomach! At a bit of a loss, the group try to rationalize what he's talking about until he finally shows them. Sure enough, his abdomen swings open and there's a recharge plug and a diagnosis port built into him. Getting over the shock, the group plug him into Stephanie's computer and it confirms that Leroy is, in fact, a cyborg. Later that evening, as Leroy is on patrol, he discovers a motorcycle gang harassing a college couple. Approaching and asking what's going on, Leroy is told by one of the bikers to get out if he knows what good for him. Leroy insists that he doesn't know what's good for him and the biker pulls out a crowbar and charges. After hitting Leroy, and Leroy not falling, the biker realizes Leroy is more than he seems. Calling his friends over , the bikers Vamp out and attack. When Leroy is able to rip the head off the leader of the pack and hurls it at another - who gets a mouthful of leader dust and wrecks his bike, the other two take off as fast as they can. Leroy dispatches the second vampire after rummaging through his pockets and finding a few wallets. The next day Stephanie is invited by Detective Devry to visit Breannas parents. He tells her that he's going against policy to have her there without authorization and not to mention it to the Captain. While talking to the father they realize that he's nervous about something. After leaving the Carwell Estate, Devry and Stephanie have lunch together and Devry hints that someone should stake-out Dr. Carwell , as it's outside his jurisdiction. Stephanie also finds out that there may be a seriel killer in the 'Boro, targeting prostitutes. Astrid and Josh head to Archaeology class and are informed to report to the Dig site the following Thursday as it has been partially reopened. Prof. Mills tells them he has been over-ruled and the dig is to be reopened, he is able to assure them that the mound is to be left alone and the village site is the only work being done - for now! Stephanie and the others stake-out Dr. Carwell. He eventually leads them to a late night meeting under a bridge. There they see the missing Initiative agent, Sebastian Cobb. Overhearing the converstion, they discover that Cobb is threatening Dr. Carwell with Breannas life if he doesnt agree to some sort of surgery. Dr. Carwell tries to explain that he doesnt have the technical know-how to do the procedure, but it seems pretty obvious that Cobb doesnt except that answer - and gives the Doctor one day to become proficient. As Cobb leaves, the group scrambles to follow. Succesfully avoiding notice, the group hide out near the house where Cobb drives too. Figuring that Breanna is being held there and is in grave danger, the group decide on a direct approach. Leroy walks up to the front door and knocks, when Cobb sees him he makes a run for the basement. Leroy tears the door of it's hinges and gives chase. Smashing open the cellar door and leaps to the bottom, Leroy is followed closely behind by Stephanie then Josh with Astrid bringing up the rear. Suddenly, Cobb fires a shot - not at them but at the bar holding the ouside cellar door shut. Running through the door, Stephanie gets a shot off and nails him in the back, unfortunantly he's wearing armor and continues out into the night. Leroy takes out after him again, but isn't able to find him. He does find his shotgun though, apparantly dropped during flight. Making sure that Breanna is safe, the group leave the scene and take her to her fathers house. On the way, Breanna is able to answer some questions about Leroy's cybernetics. While not the designer, she is basically familiar with the system, she also informs them that a second suit was being built by Prof. Wingate, but she is unaware of it's status. The group wonders if perhaps this is the surgery to which Cobb was refering. |
