Episode Five:
Dream a Little Dream
Stephanie goes to work and finds out about two murders over the weekend - both unsolved. A prostitute had her throat cut and the body of Prof. Wingate was found.
Later in the day, Astrid meets up with Josh and subtly starts seeing if he may be interested in teaming up on patrols. They are interrupted when Leroy is seen losing his temper and injuring a student. Astrid attempts to figure out what�s going on, but Leroy seems not to care, offering the excuse that the guy was talking about him. Before more can be said, Astrid is called by Stephanie and told that Dr. Wingate had been murdered! The four get together to discuss the ramifications. Stephanie also informs them that Breanna is missing, she hasn�t been seen since the night she left the Archaeological dig - the same night Dr. Wingate was killed. His leg harness is also missing.
Stephanie has another dream - this one also involving wings and the Toad creature. However, in this one she sees herself apparently helping Jim and Astrid cast a spell. The creature bursts loose and the audience see that both Stephanie AND Astrid suddenly awaken! - They seem to have had the same dream!
The next afternoon when Stephanie reports for work, her Captain asks to speak with her. He is concerned about her recent behavioral changes - she has become driven and overly interested in murders outside her jurisdiction. He thinks it�s caused by her desire to become a detective combined with Sergeant Davis' recently quitting the force. He tells her to take a week off; she�s earned it.
Astrid gets Stephanie, Josh, and Leroy to agree to meet at the Inferno. As Stephanie is on her way, she is attacked by a vampire in the alley. She is able to escape, and heads into the Inferno to inform them of the attack. Josh rushes outside - stake in hand. The rest of the group follow as quick as they can. Josh climbs a ladder up to the roof for a better view, but is attacked on the roof by the vampire. Stephanie hears the commotion and starts up the ladder herself. When Leroy makes it outside, he makes a leap for the ladder, but actually clears the roof edge! Although surprised, he is able to continue his forward momentum and charges into the vampire. Before the vamp can recover, Josh stakes him. Stephanie reaches the roof just in time to see the vampire go poof.
Stephanie suggests that the group head to her house to discuss this new situation. Josh informs the group that he has faced a couple of vamps before and gives them the basic info on their strengths and weaknesses. The group decides to start working together more. Stephanie offers the use of her house as a base of operations.
Deciding to split into two groups for their first patrol, Leroy patrols campus and the rest start patroling town. Recalling that the other murder victim had a neck wound, Stephanie suggest they stake out (pun intended) the cemetary. While waiting, Astrid hears noises from a nearby mausoleum. The group attempt to sneak, but are detected. Four vamps come out and attack the group. With bravery, skills, lot's of luck, and the timely arrival of Leroy the group is successful in defeating all four vamps.
After a long couple of days, the group all head to their respective beds for a good night�s sleep. The scene suddenly shows quick flashes of a the fight in the Laboratory - and Leroy being shot, Breanna adjusting some computer readouts on Leroy�s chest, and Leroy plugging himself into a charger before bed. Leroy suddenly wakes up to see himself plugged into the wall socket.
