You have journeyed to this fabled land via wormholes in the space/time continuum. These wormholes are very unstable with no way of predicting where or when they will appear as well as when or where you might find yourself on the other side. They form a natural defense against those that would try to plunder Atlantis, for with their unpredictability there is no way for raiders to know exactly how to get here, get help, or get home again.
While the wormholes help to protect Atlantis from those that intend to harm Her. They also infuse Her with a continuing supply of new blood. As they snare those on the lands and seas of the known worlds of man and bring them to the shores of Atlantis to help populate Her. Here you will find people from all races and cultures, free or slave, that make up the population. At the docks sit Norse long ships, that sit next to Chinese junks and a English sloops. The guard force even have Amazon warriors within it�s ranks.
The Palace and City sit along the shore of this Island Realm. In land She is surrounded by lush thick forest and fertile rich fields of crops. Herds of deer and bison may be found roaming the country sides along sides creature that are thought to be merely legend or no longer exist. Nature providing for all the needs of Her.
You will find Atlantians are a proud and honorable people. Striving for justice from the Her sovereign, the Lord Marshal, to the lowest serf. Even the slaves of Atlantis are proud and strive to bring honor to their owners. It is a mixed culture that has managed to stay very basic and unchanged over the centuries despite advancement through the arts of science and magic. Atlantians believing that a machine should never replace a human even in the lowest of task. Therefore you will still find apprentices, serfs, and slaves working in the fields and shops of Atlantis
There are four classes of people in Atlantis.
The High Caste: This is made up the ruling body. Trained professionals such as banker, merchants, scholars, clerics, builders, mages, and warriors, as well as the master craftsmen like shipwrights, blacksmiths, entertainers, and such. These people are all sworn citizens of Atlantis.
Apprentices�: These are people that are new to Atlantis that have requested and been granted an apprenticeship with a citizen.
Serfs: these are peasants that are free submissives whom make ends meet the best that they can while working where ever they can within Atlantis. (their name will appear in lower case)
Slaves: these are owned properties of either a personal holding or the State.
This is a kill/ capture Realm for Members only. Those without Home tags are fair game to any member. Members that are captured by other members may be kept as unwilling captives for 3 days then ramsomed back to their home. slaves and serf that are caught maybe ransomed back after 3 days as well, but if not paid then become property of the Captor
Any free or serf may voluntarily submit themselves into slavery at anytime. Once the submission is stated, that person is now a slave. Only members of the High Caste or Apprentices may place a newly submitted slave into a State collar {Atlantis}( or whatever Kingdom that the rp happens in). Only members of the High Caste place a newly submitted slave into a personal collar of their own.
Combat and spells are determined by rolls of the dice for success, hits and misses..
All new players will start their characters as level one and then advance from their by petition to the Ruling Council or their Guild Council
