Kingdoms of the Realm

Remember that when traveling between Cities or outside of marked safe zones you are subject to capture.
Places in The Realm
Antwar: Is an Island Kingdom roughly 100 kilometers Northwest of the Island Kingdom of Atlantis. It sets on the Northwestern most corner of the know Realm. Beyond is unexplored waters of the Neptune Sea. It is ruled by King Zhang. Antwar was settled originally by survivors of a Chinese Junk that was sucked into the Realm 1537 A.D. While starting as a Chinese settlement, Antwar like the rest of the Kingdoms of the Realm , between mating and slaves, has become a melting pot of cultures.
Asgard: An island located in the Northeastern corner of the known Realm. Asgard was first populated by the warriors of two Norse long ships that found themselves lost in the foggy waters off the coast of what is now England and sucked into the Realm. Named for the home of Norse Gods, Asgard has remained a vanguard of Norse culture through the ages. Clinging to what has always made Norsemen what they are, while adapting to the new and innovative technologies of the Realm. Noted as some of the most feared warriors in the Realm. They often hire out to serve in the various kingdoms as members of the Royal Guards. The main settlement is Thors Hammer and ruled by King Locarus.
Avalon: a uninhabited island roughly 120 kilometers North-Northeast of Cortez. Even the technologically advance Atlantians are hard pressed to explain the strange happenings on this island. Named Avalon after a exploration party discovered several full suits of armor bearing the rumored crest of Camelot resting on slabs in a cavern, the remains of the knights still inside. As a sign of respect, Avalon is treated as holy ground and left uninhabited save for the resting place of certain heroes and royalty at their final request. Those that attempt to rob or disturb the graves are found dead hanging near by.
Belvah: an island 140 kilometers E of Atlantis & 140 kilometers N-NW of Vembus. Belvah is populated by small villages and settlements. Its main industry being agriculture the climate being suitable in the different areas of the island to grow coffee beans as well as grapes

Catraia: The exact location of Catraia is unknown as they are a hostile race and no human has yet been able to locate and return with the position of their cities. However, it is believed to be approximately 140 kilometers E. of Jarden and 120 kilometers S. of Vembus in what has come to be known as the Catraian Forest. The Catraians are a feline race. They walk upright on their hind legs and at a distance may even appear human for their bodies are shaped like ours. In fact only the feline features of their bodies make them differ from that of humans. Their short fine pelt is a yellowish tan like that of a cougar or mountain lion. The tail is just under a meter long and they can use it with deadly accuracy to strike close objects like a whip when needed. Their heads are shaped like that of a human save they have a slight jutting feline jaw line and ears. Catraians are recorded to have great strength and agility and ferocious warriors both males and females. They are carnivorous. As they are such fearsome fighters and while resembling humans, but clearly not human, the first contacts with man did not go well. Since then any humans that have ventured to close into the forest or their settlements have fallen prey to their hunting parties. Prisoners are taken back to their camps and cities for slaves or if need be for food. They see humans as a lesser creature fit only for those purposes, but prefer other meat when it is available. It is thought that the only advanced weapons they possess are those that they have taken in battle. They have never attempted to expand their territory but have been known to raid the remote farms of Jarden and Vembus stealing women for slaves and other livestock.
Cortez: a kingdom located on the western shore of the Neptune Sea. It is roughly 140 kilometers north of Malhaw and 250 kilometers west of Orga. Originally settled by the surviving crews of a treasure fleet of Spanish War Gallons returning from the New World to Spain. They had became lost in a savage storm at sea finding themselves when it cleared in the waters of the Neptune Sea. Its massive stone fortress serves as palace and protection for this Kingdom as it looks out over the city and bay. Like its rival Vembus, its industry is mining, farming, and the harvesting of timber from the Mali Forest and marble and stone from its quarries. Cortez is ruled by King Juan Ramirez.
Danieh: A small island kingdom 120 kilometers N-NE from Orga & 120 kilometers W of Piecon. Danieh was settled by the Atlantians, who saw it as a good location for a military base in the Eastern Neptune. They also soon found that the steam and heat from the volcano on Danieh could be tapped to power to run their factories and machinery. Danieh producing the hover cycles and craft used through out the Realm. Once granted independence by Atlantis, the Daniehnians started to sell their products to the other cities and kingdoms for food and raw materials. Danieh is ruled by King Samora.
Garriah: an island 80 kilometers South of Antwar and 120 kilometers west of Atlantis. Garriah is uninhabited for the most part with no major cities or settlements outside of a few small fishing villages and well hid pirate dens.
Jarden: Located on the shores of and named for the Jardenian River. Jarden is a small Kingdom on the Southern border of the known Realm. Those that have ventured further inland have not returned. Jarden is mostly a farming community raising crops and livestock to sell in the markets of the Realm. Jarden is under constant threat from pirates, as well as raiding parties from Malhaw and Catraia. Jarden is ruled by Lord Credus.

Malhaw: This kingdom lies roughly 140 kilometers South of the Kingdom of Cortez in the Mali Forest. The exact location is unknown as the village is hidden under the canopy of the forest. Malhaw is ruled by a tribe of Amazon warriors that survive by hunting, raiding, and trading with the other Kingdoms and settlements for what they need. Malhawnians also prefer to do their trading in the distant Kingdoms and settlements so that outsiders do not see what their defenses and weaknesses may be. It is more dangerous for them as Malhaw warriors are prized as slaves throughout the Realm when captured but also respected for their fighting skills. There is a caste system within Malhaw which consists of the warrior caste. This caste in turn rules the worker caste and the slaves. Only women are allowed in the warrior caste while men are allowed to be free and part of the worker caste. Malhaw is ruled by Queen Tara.

Orga: Located where the Jardenian River flows into the Neptune Sea. This city is the busiest seaport on the mainland, a commerce center where the Island Kingdoms and settlements can trade with the inland settlements and villages for everything from raw materials, to finished products, as well as being the largest slave markets in the Realm. Orga is ruled by the Merchants' Guild.
Piecon: an island kingdom 120 kilometers E of Danieh & 60 kilometers N-NE of Vembus. Piecons major industry is fishing and the plantations of sugar cane and citrus fruits that grow in abundance. Another former small colony of Atlantis, granted independence and becoming and independent kingdom. Rules by Queen Faustina Porexa
Vembus: This city is located upon the Eastern shore of the Neptune Sea on the mainland. Vembus is a thriving kingdom thats economy is based on ore mining, farming, and the harvesting of stone and timber for the Realm. It competes with the Kingdom of Cortez selling its production to the island Kingdoms and settlements. It is ruled by Queen Beckra.
