Rules for the Lost World of Atlantis
General Rules
1. Rulings of the Lord Marshal are final. Only the Lord Marshal may override a ruling of the High Council.
2.The High Council of Atlantis will be made up of six people, they will be Citizens, serfs, or slaves of Atlantis that are in good standing with the Lord Marshal as the head of the Council and to cast the deciding vote in the event of a tie. Members of the High Council will be appointed by the Lord Marshal or may be voted on by a poll on the board.
3. There is no raiding allowed from non-members of the Realm. Raids have to be from other homes with the realm. Raiders stating what they are in their tags. The number of Raiders must be not be greater then the number of defenders present. This is not Gor so women, serfs, and slaves are classified as defenders as well.
4. Disruptive behavior in Atlantis will not be tolerated. Those causing problems within Her walls will be warned. Failure to comply will result in the offending party being chained or caged till the matter is reviewed by the High Council. Those thinking to be cute and fight the Citizens or NPC guards will be either placed on ignored and the matter logged and posted for review or exiled from Atlantis.
5.Once a visitor, Citizen, Apprentice, or serf voluntarily submits themselves, they are a slave from that point on and are to be claimed by a private owner or made property of the State. They may not be take from the Realm. The submission must be accepted by either a Citizen or an Apprentice.
6.Only Citizens may own slaves. Apprentices may keep any slaves that they bring with them, but not buy or acquire more till their Apprenticeship is done. If there are any questions speak with the Lord Marshal, do not attempt to circumvent the rules. On the same note, visitors may not collar and remove slaves from the Realm.
7.State slaves should not be automatically assumed to be available to serve the pleasures of a free. They are restricted the same as private slaves may be, however they may be rented by speaking with the Lord Marshal to see if one is available and to set the terms and length of the lease on the slave. Only Citizens and Apprentices may rent slaves.
8.Personal information on any person, regardless of status may not be demanded.
9.Visitors may visit as many times as they like before asking to be allowed to either apply for an apprenticeship, to be allowed to serve Atlantis as a serf, or to submit themselves to slavery. It is recommended that a person visit for at least two week minimum before making any request.
10.Owners are responsible for the behavior of their slaves. If a Owner fails to control and discipline a troublesome slave, then the State may impose sanctions on the Owner or punish the slave in question if the problem persist.
11.If a free or slave is in Atlantis they should not be in another room within or outside of the sites at the same time. Those found doing so will be warned. Repeated offenses may call for banishment.
12.It should be remembered that serfs are still free and may respectfully decline to serve whom they choose or how far they will serve.
13.There will be NO Assassins in this realm.
Capture Rules
Members with City tags of the Realm are only subject to 3 role played days of captivity if caught by another member. This means that the captive must roll play for three days not just 72 hrs from the time of capture. The captive may be treated like a slave in all aspects except that may not be permaniently marked or slain. The Captor has three options open to them
a. Keep the catpive and make them serve and work in His/Her home for the time of capture.
b. Set a ransom which if paid the captive will be returned sooner.
c. Sell the Captive to another Member of the Realm or the Market of Orga to serve out their captivity. Even if sold they will be released at the end of 3 days.
Captives may only be fully enslaved if they had agreed in advance and posted to that effect on the boards that they wave the 3 day rule or submit to their Captor during the 3 days.
serfs and slaves of the Realm that are captured in a capture zone. May be held for the same 3 days of role play as the Free Citizens. They may not be marked or slain as well. The rules for them are the same except that they are held for a ransom, if the Owner of the slave or Lord/Lordess of the serf does not pay the ransom then. They become full slaves of the Free holding papers on them.
Those without City tags that are caught in a capture zone are fair game and may be enslaved on the spot if the Captor wishes.
These rules may be added to or ammended at anytime without notice
