This is our Letter Boxing Page. We started this fun past time in September 2003 right after Pupp had her surgery.
We love letter boxing because it involves so many fun things.
It's like a puzzle, a treasure hunt, scavenger hunt, and a road trip all rolled up in one fun day. We can be as social or as isolated as we want to be on any given day.
Pupp's favorite part is carving the stamps. To find out more about letter boxing,
go to this web site. http://letterboxing.org/
Another great site is http://www.lbworld.org/
This is a wonderful site to meet new people who letterbox in your
area and others. There is much to learn about the sport here.
These are the boxes that we have placed so far:
Many Happy Returns of the Day Letterbox
This box was placed on February 21, 2004. This is the box that
Melanie gave Jenn for her birthday. We finally got it placed!
Paint My Wagon Letterbox
This box was placed on March 21, 2004. This is one of the first stamps
I have carved. Looking back, I can't believe how bad it is! I placed it
in Canby because we're out there a lot visiting my aunt.
Backwards Harley Letterbox
This box was placed on March 21, 2004. We have two motorcycles. One is a
big Yamaha with a side car. We love riding it and Jett likes to go along.
I've been looking at this site for quite some time. I'll be adding
a few more at the same site.
Peace, Baby Letterbox
This box was placed on June 18, 2004. Jenn, Mel, the kids,
and I placed the next few at the fish hatchery near my house.
Ball? Ball? BALL! Letterbox
This box was placed on June 18, 2004. Jenn, Mel, the kids, and I
placed the next few at the fish hatchery near my house. This stamp is
part of my doggie series. Anyone who has a retriever who plays with
tennis balls knows why this is titled like this.
Excuse me, Where is the men's room? Letterbox
This box was placed on June 18, 2004. Jenn, Mel, the kids, and I placed
the next few at the fish hatchery near my house. This stamp is one of
many doggie stamps that we have done.
I belong to you Letterbox
This box was placed on June 18, 2004. Jenn, Mel, the kids, and I placed
the next few at the fish hatchery near my house. The doggie boxes are just
my way of having fun with my favorite subject, dogs, in the letterboxing
world. I love carving the stamps and I find naming the boxes enjoyable.
It's a way for me to try and be funny. Many of my boxes will
only be enjoyed and/or understood by dog lovers.
Cross My Heart, Hope not to die Letterbox
Another simple little stamp located in a favorite place. I used to have
other boxes in this site, but then someone over saturated the area
with boxes and it's just not the same anymore.
2X2 Series Letterboxes
This series rocks, if I do say so myself. This is a Brat Pack Series. There
are at least six boxes with at least three images in each box. I thought
the hike would kill my disabled knee.
Underdog Letterbox
This was one of my first attempts to make my clues harder. I can't believe
that no one has found this box yet because it's very easy.
Death Dance
This box was made for the Boogie in the Park gathering 2004
Jett's Victory Tour Letterbox
Our beloved Jett had to have knee sugery in the spring of 2004. Her recovery
was long and hard on all of us. After recovery, Jett was
treated to a trip to her fav place.
