Jett's Victory Tour Letterbox

This box is located in Newport, Oregon.

In the Spring of 2004, Jett the therapy dog had to have surgery
to replace her knee. She spent eight weeks in her kennel with very
short trips to the "potty". Her people moved the bed into the dining
room so that Jett could stay with the family and only have 10 feet to
the "potty" rather than 100 feet. She didn't like this at all and
couldn't figure out what she did wrong to deserve such a bad punishment.
And to top it off, there was a new baby. Bad timing on the part of the
people, but Tank was already scheduled to join the family when the Vet
told everyone about the need for surgery. Mother Nature just couldn't
"take back" the bundle of yellow lab joy that was coming. Jett was very
sad that she couldn't go to work. After the eight weeks was over
(we can't tell you who was happier, Jett, or her people), Jett still
had rehab to do. When she was all better, at the beginning of
Fall, Jett's people took her to her fav place on
this planet - the beach! The box is to celebrate Jett's Victory.

In Newport is one of Jett's fav places to eat. She loves the double
cheeseburgers on the dollar menu at McDonalds. She gets one about once
a month for special occassions. In the back of the parking lot is a
trail. Go 14 steps into the trail, keeping to the left.
At the base of a clipped hedge bush thing is the box.
