The Week of March 11
March
12: Rafe tries to call on his connections in Heaven because Ed won't crack.
No response from George, none from Henry (lol). He wants to go back to Heaven,
to be called back. Alison wakes up (she was sleeping next to him on the couch)
and asks him what he's doing. He says that he needs to find out who is going
to die, he needs to go back. Alison tells him that he has to stop worrying about
who's going to die, and who will be the fifth chair. Rafe admits that he thought
he could just run out for a few hours, but Alison reminds him that going to
Heaven isn't like running out for milk. He says he has to know because he wants
them to make sure their last days are meaningful. Ali tells him he should be
focusing on making his last days meaningful, he needs to stop getting crazy
about the killer chair. Rafe says he knows what its like to have something say
and not being able to say it, having unfinished business. If he can stop someone
from having an eternity of regret, he should. Alison admits that she's afraid
that if he goes back up there, he won't be able to come back. He's not going
anywhere without her! Rafe reminds her that his time is up soon, and they will
have to deal with saying goodbye. She tells him, not tonight, and says that
if there was a need for him to go back, maybe she could go too. Rafe laughs
and says that she's talking crazy. The only place he wants to be is there with
her. They curl up together, a bright light flashes and they disappear.
Rafe
and Alison are standing next to the table, and Rafe freaks out saying that he's
changed his mind. He can't be without Alison, he's got to go back. He realizes
that Alison is standing right next to him and is shocked. She's stunned and
can't believe that she's where she thinks she is. She says that they were allowed
to find out who is in the fifth chair. He tells her to look for the big book
which is a naughty/nice book. Ali bends over to check under the table and realizes
that they are standing on a cloud! It is such a cool place! Like sneaking into
your parent's bedroom when you're not supposed to. Rafe tells her to focus,
they need a name. She asks what else is in the book. He says that it holds all
the answers about when people they care about are going to die. Alison suddenly
decides that she wants to go home.
Rafe
is searching the "space" for the book, saying that its there somewhere.
Alison says that maybe its kept in an important place because they aren't supposed
to find it. Rafe says that up there, things are often hidden right before your
eyes so you have sense things. He tells her to just kick back and enjoy his
"Heavenly
'Hood". Alison goes to sit down, and Rafe screams out for
her not to! He tells her that that is the 5th chair, and she says that she'll
just stand then. Ali wants to go home because she feels like they are going
to get in trouble, but Rafe finds the book. He pulls it out and opens it, his
face drops and Alison demands to see what he sees. She pulls the book from his
hands and reads "Alison Rose Barington, Friday March 29 2002" Its
suddenly clear: she is the one who dies!

A replay of Alison grabbing the book from Rafe and discovering that she is the one who dies. Rafe pulls her into a hug, as she cries. Alison steps back and sits down in the 5th chair, stunned. Rafe screams at her to stand up, telling her that he doesn't want her to die.
March
13: He suddenly wakes up from a dream/nightmare. It was all a figment of
his nocternal imaginations. He pulls her into a hug, breathing heavily. She
says that it must have been some dream. He doesn't believe that it was and pinches
Alison. She laughs at his antics, but Rafe is still in a panic. She wants to
know what is wrong, she can tell by the look on his face. He says he's just
afraid. Rafe reveals that they were both in Heaven and they found the book of
records. Alison fills in the details, he read it in the dream- he was trying
to find out who was going to get the chair. Rafe says that he got this awful
feeling in his stomach, something he's never felt before. Alison tells him it
was just a dream, and sometimes the scariest fears come out in the night. She
tells him it will fade away. Rafe is relieved. She offers to make him a cup
of hot chocolate and to get breakfast. She laughingly tells him not to go back
to sleep. Alone Rafe wonders if it was more than just a dream and that he had
seen the future, and she is the one who is going to die.

Sitting on the floor drinking their hot chocolate, Alison thinks its the drink that is making Rafe sad. She asks if its still the nightmare and tells him he needs to forget about it, it wasn't real. He says he doesn't want to know anything about the future or the book of records. Alison realizes that he saw something in his dream. He must have seen her name in the book. She is the 5th chair, she is the one who is going to die.

Rafe tries to deny that its her, but angels are lousy liars. She tells him its okay, she's not afraid. She says that whether or not its a dream, she's not afraid. But she refuses to spend another minute trying to figure out knowledge they aren't supposed to know. She says what scares her the most is not being able to spend every single second with him in his arms. He says she must be right, because he doesn't have any powers. Alison says that they are going somewhere that she knows of where only good things happen.

Ed pulls the book out from the same place that Rafe did and opens the page (IMO it was roughly the same place Rafe had it at). He looks at it and says that its such a shame considering its someone so vitale and so young. (is it Alison? My vote is still on Eve- she's having too many *good* scenes lately)
March
14: Rafe and Alison (picnic basket in tow) arrive at the barn, their special
place where all their good dreams come true. It is obvious that there is a dark
cloud over Rafe's head about that dream. Two kids with pitchforks come behind
them when they enter the barn. They warn them not to get any ideas and to not
move. The boy tells them to get lost and says that they can tell his parents
that he isn't coming home. Rafe tries to calm them down. Alison asks what's
wrong, they don't know their parents. The girl convinces the boy to fess up,
and he says that he's not going (apparently the boy is moving). The boys says
that they are best friends and have living next to each other for ever. He admits
that they hoped one day they could be more than just friends. They refuse to
not see each other for a long time. The boy says they don't understand what
its like to have your best friend leave you forever! Rafe and Alison sadly admit
that they do (its such a sweet scene).
Alison
tells Bernie that she lost her best friend too and there was nothing she could
do to stop it. She said she felt like she was going to die and felt this terrible
emptiness because she thought he would forget about her, but he never could
(Rafe pipes in). He told her that they would never be more than a thought away.
Bernie doesn't think that's going to help, but Rafe explains that they will
always be in each other's heart. And maybe some day they can end up together
again. It maybe for only a little while. Sarah
and Bernie are consoled a bit by the words, and Rafe offers to
make the barn special for all of them. They need to make the good dreams come
true. Rafe tells them that they are going to carve their names so that in twenty
years, no 100 years when people come there they will know that they were together.
And that they will always be reminded that they were in each other's hearts.
Sarah and Bernie go first.

Rafe is putting the finishing touches on his and Alison's heart. It makes Bernie feel better and so long as the barn is there, as will the marking of their love. Alison makes a pact with the other 3 that its there place and no one can take it away from them or change it. Sarah says they need to get back home. Alison wishes them good luck. Alone, they talk about how lucky they are to be together in a place where good dreams happen. As Alison and Rafe kiss, we see Sarah and Bernie outside of the barn peering in. They turn, smile and walk away arm in arm... only to disappear into thin air! :)

Back inside the barn, they kiss some more and Ali asks him what he thinks. Rafe says that he thinks Alison is a really good kisser. (lol) Alison asks him what he thinks about the kids- does he think they will remember? She thinks they should make their own pact, their own committment. They kiss some more and Alison asks Rafe to marry her.
March
15: Rafe asks her if she said, what he thinks she said- she wants to get
married. Alison tries to convince him, saying that she knows that he's leaving
and that he wants her to have a long and healthy life. But once he's gone, the
life and love they share will still be there. She doesn't want it to go away.
Loving him has changed her life and its something to celebrate. They should
make a promise, a vow, that despite the fact that they won't be together their
hearts will be joined for all eternity. Rafe wheels in some flowers and says
that he's never seen a bride without flowers and he's up for it. Alison squeals
with joy. He tells her to get behind the hay, she complies but wants to know
what she is supposed to do there. He tells her to do what brides normally do
on their wedding day, and she says laughingly that she would probably go to
the spa. But shrugs it off and giggles that she's getting married.

Seems Rafe has set up the barn into a nice romantic area (Ali has also changed clothes into a white tank top). She says that she feels nervous and he agrees. She asks if she can come out now, and after a deep breath Rafe says he's ready if she is. Alison steps out into the barn and says that it (what he's done to the barn) looks beautiful. He says that he's never seen anything more beautiful in his life (meaning Alison).
She
steps toward him, and Rafe goes first. He says that he came here an angel, but
he will leave there a man more blessed by her love. People say that there are
only angels in heaven, but angels live in the hearts of those who love and how
lucky is he? He's found the most incredible angel of all. They kiss, but Alison
pulls back and says they are supposed to that afterwards.(lol) Rafe says that
people spend their lives searching and looking, it could have been him, but
instead he found her. His journey began and now it will end with her. He explains
that the stones around their feet is the same sort of thing as a ring because
he doesn't have one for her. It represents their infinite bond, a never ending
circle. He promises to carry her love forever, they are joined for now until
eternity. Alison reiterates that promise to carry his love for her in her heart
and soul. Tears in their eyes, Rafe says that under the eyes of God they belong
to each other. Alison whispers "now
you may kiss your bride" and they kiss :*)

Alison fingers their heart, and she says that it was the little kids that gave her the idea to marry him. Listening to their stories inspired her. She says that it was funny that two little kids showing up at the same barn with the same situation. Rafe says with a suspicious glimmer in his eye, that she should think of it as a gift... out of no where ;-) (he knew they were angels!) He lays her down on the floor of the barn, and they kiss as the camera pans toward the post with the hearts. The heart with Bernie & Sarah's name disapears.
