The Week of March 4

Casey wants some guy advice and asks how she can make a guy like her. What makes a guy interested? Rafe suggests that she just be nice. Ask him to a movie, see how it plays out. He says you can't force things. Let him get to know the real Casey. She admits that she wants to, but she doesn't want to get too close because of the 5th chair. Rafe tells her that no one knows when their time comes. Casey asks him if he's worried that Alison might be the one, unless of course he wants her to. She figures that he plans on taking Ali back with him! Meanwhile, Alison is sleeping on the couch, as the gas pilfers in the air.

Rafe says that he would never want her to die, but Casey thinks differently. He insists that he wants her to live a long and healthy life. Rafe takes off to (as Casey sarcastically said) "spend your precious time with your little Alison"

Rafe comes home to find Ali unconscious on the couch, he smells the gas and tries to wake Alison. He opens the doors and windows, and begs her to wake up. Ali dreams of kissing Rafe in the barn, making snow angels, their beach fantasy (Rafe telling her that he knows what it would be like to be with her forever), their afterglow in the barn (Ali admiring she feels loved), back to the beach fantasy (Rafe saying he'll love her forever, and their dance). Over top the dance we hear Alison's voice saying that all along they had spent so much time getting everyone else together that she thinks it was really about them coming together- everything has a reason. Back to the barn and making love (Rafe admits he feels alive with her). In reality we see Alison still unconscious, Rafe is demanding that they send an ambulance NOW, his girlfriend is dying.

Rafe is screaming for Alison to wake up, and blames himself. Ambulance sirens are heard in the distance. Frank comes in and asks what happened. Rafe explains, saying he tried to light the fire but it didn't work so he went out. He realizes his mistake and with tears in his eyes remembers Casey saying that Alison might be the one who dies and accusing him of taking her back with him. He says aloud that he wanted to be with her forever, but not like that! He returns to her side and begs her to wake up, as Frank attends to her medical needs.

Frank says that the oxygen mask is working, Alison is breathing normally. But she is still unconscious, which is odd they both notice. Alison is dreaming about telling Rafe that she loves him, and he is such a part of her. Someone up there must know that they were meant to be together, it was meant to last. If she never wakes up, then they won't have to say good-bye and they can be together forever. Back in reality, Rafe is panicking as Frank continues to say that her responses are good, he doesn't understand why she won't wake up. Frank says that Ali's body is fighting everything he tries to do to help her. He says that its like she's in some sort of altered state, like she is fighting coming back. He asks if there is any reason why she would want to do that?

Rafe craddles Alison's head and tells her that she can't come back with him right now, she has a beautiful life ahead of her. He knows he wanted to spend forever with her, but not like that. She needs to come back alive. Alison whispers "No" in her unconcious state.

Frank is on the phone and says that its like she's sleeping. Rafe continues to talk to her, telling her that she needs to stop playing games, and needs to come back. When Frank suggests that he take her to the hospital, Rafe begs him not to take her away from him. He begins to kiss her, begging her to wake up. she comes to. "Wow! That was some mouth to mouth" Frank says (LOL!!) She says that she had this fantastic dream: her, Rafe.... Frank?! (She realizes Frank's in the room) She asks why he's there.

Frank tells her that her vitals are fine. He promises to check in later and leaves. She thanks him for stopping by (lol). Alone, Rafe tells her that she has to promise never to do that, she scared him. She says it was beautiful, he should have been there- actually he was! She had a dream, he was there, it was warm. She apologizes, and says she didn't know what happened, she fell into a beautiful dream state. It was wonderful! Rafe sits her down, and says that he was worried that with the 5th chair talk that she would get ideas in her head. He mentions that even Casey thinks she wants to go back with them. Ali asks what he thinks and he says that part of him doesn't, but then another part would like her to leave with him because the thought of never seeing her face again breaks his heart. He knows its wrong. She tells him she loves him, they kiss.

Alison says that it was hard waking up, it was so peaceful she didn't want it to end. She says it was like the world fell away, and left them alone. She didn't need anyone but him. He tells her he's right there, in the flesh- she doesn't need any dreams. He's real, and real crazy about her. She says that was her favourite part, waking up and seeing his face. She starts to upbutton his shirt, and they kiss.

Alison and Rafe are eating pizza teasing each other with the possibility of a food fight. They talk about what happened with the gas fireplace and Alison comments on the weather and the fact that they are there together. They need to stop worrying and shake on that deal. They seal it with a kiss just as Livvie walks in on them and rudely asks her if she cares that Jamal is trying to kill himself.

Alison demands to know what is going on and Livvie reminds her, coldly, who Jamal is. Ali tells her that she hasn't seen Jamal in days and Livvie replies with "that's because you're too busy playing house... being touched by an angel!" (ouch!) She says that while Ali's making love, Jamal's out there making some serious enemies. He tried to scam some guys that are major trouble. Ali says that Jamal had worked so hard to break from that lifestyle and Livvie adds that was until she blew him off. Now he's given up on himself, not like she cares. Livvie tells her that maybe she should start living her life and not as though that nothing else in the world matters. Rafe tries to stop them from their verbal banter, but Livvie goes on, saying that its not fair that they are stuffing their faces with pizza while Jamal has hit the self-distruct button.

Livvie says that she never believed Alison when she said that she used to be self-centered, but she does now. Rafe tells her to give Ali a chance. Livvie tells him that Jamal is a guy whereas Rafe is an angel who used his magical mojo and won Alison- what a challenge. He dazzled her and now he's going to leave, leaving Alison all alone. Ali tells her to stop it and says that its her choice, at least she wasn't hypnotized by a vampire. (meow!) Alison apologizes, but Livvie remains firm saying that she is just being a friend and is calling things the way she sees them. Alison is taken aback. They part on bad terms as Livvie heads to the counter to place an order. Alison tells Rafe that she really needs to go to Jamal, they've been through a lot together. She's worried about the 5th chair and she wants to do everything she can to make sure he doesn't hurt himself. Rafe says that he understands and knows that she has to go, but he's afraid that if she goes to Jamal she'll never come back. Alison says that she loves him and she promises she will be back. They kiss, she leaves, but Rafe sits not looking too sure about Alison's promise.

Livvie turns and finds Rafe sitting by himself and asks if he's alone and where did Alison go. Rafe says that she went to Jamal and Livvie walks off. Rafe stops her and says that maybe she laid on the guilt a bit thick. Livvie tells him that he doesn't understand- her, Ali, Jamal and Jack have been to hell and back and they got through it together. Rafe says that he wasn't the one who broke up the foursome, Jamal was. Jamal broke up with Alison. Livvie tells him that he came on to Alison WAY before that, but Rafe denies it and refuses to apologize for it. Livvie reminds him that he has a time limit and maybe he should go back now and give Jamal and Alison a chance. Rafe says that its too late, he loves her too much. She says that there shouldn't be any reason to worry then and walks away.

Alison finds Jamal outside of (I think its) The Recovery Room and says that she's come to see him.

Jamal says that he's out of her life, but Ali says that they aren't. She wants to know why he's trying to kill himself. He asks who cares? She's done her good deed, she is off the hook. Besides, he says, there is some place else she'd rather be. She says that this is where she wants to be, she cares about him. Ali says he's got nothing to lose, let her in, let her try and help him. Jamal says that he was there to apologize at the apartment and there she was packing her things to move in with Rafe. She says she didn't know that. He admits that he wanted her back so bad. Ali admits that she still loves him, a part of her still does. How big a part, Jamal asks, big enough to give it another try?

Rafe has called the angels together and says that he doesn't want to spend it like that. He says that he needs help finding out who the 5th chair is. Paige says that its a risk to stir things up. He says they need to work together to figure it out, don't they want to know who they are going to help cross over? Paige has some questions and Amy asks where it is coming from. Rafe says that he almost lost Alison, it was an accident. Casey laughs saying that he did it on purpose! Rafe defends himself, but it clicks, they've thought about it. They think they have control in the matter and now all of a sudden... he's getting a funny feeling that there is something they aren't telling him. Maybe they already know the answer and that's why they aren't worried about who's going to die!

Paige says that he has no right! They have accepted what they can't change. Rafe pins each of them asking about each of their "men." Rafe says that they are all liars, they've all wondered if it was going to be someone close to them- and now they don't care?! He thinks there 's something more to it. Amy says that's ridiculous. Paige and Casey say that they have just accepted the inevitable. Getting involved in people's lives is a huge mistake. "Let it go bro," says Casey. Rafe thinks there is something more. He says that he came there for their help and all of a sudden, he doesn't trust them anymore.

Jamal asks her if its true, does she love him like she says she does? Alison says that she will always love him, but she can't tell him what he wants to hear right now. They can always look out for each other. Jamal, isn't happy with her answer, and says angrily that he understands that they can't be together. Rafe walks in and Jamal gets tempermental and tells them to go and enjoy themselves. He gets what she's saying, go! He tells Rafe to take her out of there. He turns away, leaving Alison in tears. Rafe and Ali leave, and when they're gone, Jamal says to himself "Bye Spunky" :*-(

(In other news: The dark angel is Amy who is Harris' daughter- she's out to avenge her father's death by killing Ian, and Casey witnesses Jamal being pummeled by the gambling guys)
