This is my first year in University,so I am living in the University's Halls of Residence (the Americans call it dormitories). Anyway, it's not too bad actually, I get pretty decent food, 2 meals a day, 5 times a week. Sometimes they have Indian food, like Naan and Sag Aloo and poppadams!. On Weekends I am supposed to cook, but I end up either buying some Pizza from the Supermarket and heating it up in the microwave or going to Neen's house (Indian female from Ludhiana), she cooks some Indian food for me, (bless her!).By the way, 15 of us share a kitchen.
The room is not bad either. Big enough for 1 person, single bed, a wash basin, a cupboard, a chest of drawers, and a study table. The place is very noisy though at times. Just last week, I was coming back from the library at 3:30 am after finishing a 15 hr stint there, completing a Lab Report, went back to my room for some shut-eye, when my neighbout decides its time to play 'Shiny Happy People' by R.E.M. on full volume! But all in all, Marshall Hall ain't that bad a place to be.
Marshall Hall is right in the centre of the Collegiate Crescent Campus, which is 1 of the 3 Campuses in Sheffield Hallam University. The laundry is very near, so is the Sports Hall,we also have a TV lounge in Marshall Hall and 24 hour security.
