I.     Dont whine, please. You not only lose valuable time typing, but you could be scoring kills for the team.

II.    Dont camp in opposing spawn areas. Its bad form first and also shows you have no respect for the rules of war. Yeah, there are a few rules.

III.   Dont be a type killer. This means shooting a player when he is typing (the icon is lit above his head). This can be in the gray area. If a player stops out in the open, in the middle of the battlefield to type I think he is fair game. The reason is that you may walk by him and not shoot, only to be shot in the back when he finishes typing. On the other hand if a player is facing a wall, or in an out of the way place let him be.

IV.   Dont wear out the taunt keys (spamming!). There are certainly times when it's satisfying and fun to brag about your prowess at a game, or to throw a friendly taunt at someone you've just fragged. It's when that taunting degrades to insults designed to make someone angry, accusations of cheating, or all around tasteless flaming of other players that it takes the fun out of the game.

V.    Dont gloat over your score. At games end the score goes up and everybody knows who won without you telling them how great you are. It just shows immaturity and is the wrong time to taunt the field.

VI.   Do have fun. If an opponent makes an especially good shot or maneuver against you, give him a lol or ns from the keyboard. Remember its just a game and its pretty cool to be complemented on your gameplay.

VII.  Do hold the temper. The better players know they are going to get killed and dont lose time whining to everybody on the map when it happens. They respawn as quickly as possible and get back in the game. .. Did I mention whining already?

VIII. Do keep the team goal in mind. If you are having a bad night (and everybody does) slack off the attack a little. Remember its the kills to deaths ratio that determines the score. If you have 20 kills but have been killed 40 times sorry but you have put the team 20 kills down.

IX.   Do be a good sport. Good-natured teasing between gamers is a social experience, and its part of the fun. Usually, the friendly taunts are balanced with compliments about other players of teams, which is far more satisfying than beating someone down.

X.    Dont whine did I mention that already?

In the end its having fun that counts. When your experience online becomes less than fun go watch TV.

Have fun maggots,

Feel the love
