Blix's Liar

Your in the middle of a jungle, drawing your surroundings, when suddenly you hear a noise behind you in the foliage. You turn round and pull the bushes apart, only to find a hidden path! You leap to your feet, put all your belongings into your rucksack and hoist it onto you back, and begin walking down the worn path.   

   Suddenly someone shoves you through into a clearing, pinning you down and holding a hand over your mouth so you can't scream. You open you eyes to see your attacker if a comely young girl, about 19..... with wings!!! Which blend in with the foliage.                                  

   She pulls you closer and whispers in your ear, "sorry about that.... but there's hunters around. I saw you meant no harm and thought the hunters may think your Blix and shoot you. It would be a shame for an innocent person to lose their life to a hunter who thought they were a Lyris. You must stay here until they leave... I'm the only person's who's found this clearing in ages so I doubt the hunters will. I can't let them shoot Blix you see," she nods in the direction of a large wolf like creature  standing outside a cave. "I raised him from a pup and I care deeply about him... it would break my heart if they killed him. Oh and I'm Glory just for the record.... it's nice to meet you.... only I wish it was under better circumstances." She releases you, knowing you won't scream or run.

   "Likewise and thanks for saving me" you murmer, a little out of breath from the fall. "I'm (your name) by the way. What's in the cave if you don't mind me asking?"  

   She smiles and nods, "oh just a few chairs, a table, a nest for Blix, a bed I made for myself, and of coarse a lantern. Why? do you want to go in there instead? I just thought because it was a nice day...." she trails off.

  "Oh no, I was just curious..."

   She nods once again and pats a spot beside her for Blix, obediently Blix trots  over and lies down beside his mistress.

   "May I stroke him please?"

   "Sure."

   You flash Glory a smile and extend a hand, running it through Blix's azure pelage, as you pull it away Blix licks it, making you smile. You talk about the 'Lyris' race until Glory motions for you to hush.

   "I think they're leaving.... yes that's the jeep I can hear....." 

   After 10 minutes she gives you the all clear and leads you back to where you were drawing.

   "Can you find your way back from here?" 

   "Yes thanks," you reply.

   "Well goobye then, oh and feel free to drop by anytime." With that Glory turns and heads back to the clearing.
