CHAPTER 3
Sesshoumaru looks down at the wolf demon in his arms. Her eyes...her face...so beautiful. She looks so peaceful. It's as if she's merely asleep. Just sleeping soundly, without a care in the world.
But, the wound on her chest was getting worse. The intense bleeding wouldn't stop. Little rivers of blood are flowing throughout her body, staining her clothes...and Sesshoumaru's hands.
She's going to bleed to death... I must tend her wounds... (btw, for those who've seen InuYasha, you'd know that Sesshoumaru got his left arm chopped off by his brother Inuyasha. Well, let's just pretend he still got it and he still has both arms.)

Sesshoumaru, carrying Teku in his arms, started to make his way back up the cliff. It was a long ways up, but he made it. Once he got to the top, he began to walk into the forest where Teku had recently been in, watching him. On a nice, grassy spot, he sets Teku down gently. After setting her down, it hit Sesshoumaru.
I have nothing to treat her wound with.
Though he had no real medicine, he did have his other sword, the Tenseiga. However, the only way that the Tenseiga could activate is if she was dead, which she's not.
I must kill her... thought Sesshoumaru intensely. Then I'll use my Tenseiga to revive her.

Kneeling beside her, he prepares to strike her with his own claws. Looking at Teku's face, he must do it. He brings his claws closer to Teku's heart.
One quick gesture and that's it...
But something stops Sesshoumaru from attacking.
I can't do it... I can't kill her. Though he wants to, his heart is telling him no. He's strong enough to. In fact, he needs to. Otherwise, Teku will wake up and try to take his sword away again. Sesshoumaru decides to take that chance. He moves away his claws from Teku's chest.
She'll heal naturally... thought the dog demon. She's strong enough to...

Sesshoumaru held onto that thought, using it to comfort him. There he sat, drenched in the blood of the unconscious wolf demon that lays in front of him. Throughout the rest of the night, Sesshoumaru stays awake, watching over her, protecting her.

Several days past, Teku's ugly wound did start to heal naturally.
Thank God, thought Sesshoumaru. My hope was fulfilled...
Though her wound was healing, she has yet to regain consciousness. She had been out since that fight those several nights ago. Only time will tell if she'll ever wake up...
