Chapter 01: Syndicate WarehouseWhen you begin, You can either jump off the ledge to the room below, or go through the door in front of you to the room downstairs. It's your choice, they both get to the same place. In this room, you'll meet your first opponent, an engineer. When you've disposed of him, use both consoles in the room. One will be an encryption sequence, the other will unlock the door to the next room in the warehouse. Proceed to the next room and receive your first objective from Shinatama. She will explain objectives to you and how to use the objective compass. Go through the door on the right and up the stairs to the second level. In the room directly across from the stairs is another console. Use it to unlock the doors on the first and second floor that lead to the next room. When you leave the room you'll run into another engineer. Dispose of him and head back downstairs and into the next room. The next room has three rooms to the right. The first is empty, the second is stairs leading to the second level, and the third contains an engineer and the console that opens the door to the next room. When you defeat the engineer, he drops a hypo-spray you can use to recover lost health. Use the console to unlock the doors and head to the next room. There isn't much to be done here, but if you head to the far right corner of the room you'll find an energy cell that could come in handy later on. Head back to the last room and up the stairs to the second floor. When you come out the door and look down into the first floor, you'll see an ammo clip sitting on top of one of the crates in the room. To get this, jump on the box next to the edge and do a jump-flip onto the crates below. Back on the second floor, you'll encounter your first armed enemy, an engineer. You can opt to take him out with your own gun or close the distance and combat him in close quarters, where the gun doesn't do him much good. After you've defeated him, head to the room on the right (remember the door you unlocked downstairs?). Through this door, you'll find Chung, meeting your first objective. The poor lad's dead, but he left behind a datapad that confirms that BGI (the parent company of Musashi Manufacturing) is in league with the syndicate. The datapad also makes a request for the protection of the warehouse manager, giving you your next objective. The door in front of you will open and a striker will come through. Keep in mind that they're more difficult to beat than your average engineer. Luckily, he leaves behind a hypo-spray that will heal all wounds. Save Point 2 In the next room, there are two engineers who will gang up on you. When fighting them, remember to try and keep one down at all times (throws are very useful for that). Focus your attacks on one until he goes down, then concentrate on the other. Dividing your attention between the two just keeps them both alive that much longer to attack you. After you've beaten them, head upstairs to the hallway. In the first room on the left, there's an empty room with an engineer working on a machine. Take him out quickly so he doesn't complicate matters later on. Run to the corner in the hallway and wait for the striker who's making his rounds. When he spots you, lure him further back into the hallway where you have plenty of room to maneuver. When he's taken care of, go around the corner and into the room on the right. A striker will be waiting for you, so be ready. Use the console in the room to discover the syndicate's plans for transporting some of their goods. Leave the room and continue down the hall. There's another engineer in the room on the left to deal with, but nothing else of import in that room. Go through the other door and down the stairs. Take care of the striker there. In the room beyond is another striker, and a console that opens the locked door to the next section of the level. Save Point 3 There will be two doors on the right side of this room. One will be stairs, the other will contain a communications striker who will run up the stairs for the nearby alarm console. Stop him before he uses the console or you'll have extra enemies to deal with. In the console room there will be two consoles: one rather obvious alarm console decked out in red, and a console right by the door. Use the console by the door to unlock the doors to the next room. Go back downstairs and through those doors. The next room is empty except for an engineer for you to take care of. Go into the next room and save the civilian from the striker. Speak to him and he'll tell you where they've got the warehouse manager. There are two doors in this room: one to an empty room and another to the stairs up to where the manager is being held. Go on upstairs and save the warehouse manager, who offers to help you. He gives you information on the syndicate's plans and opens the doors into the next area of the warehouse. To the right will be an engineer who shouldn't give you too much trouble, but it's better to deal with him anyway. Go to left and down the stairs to the second level, deal with the engineer there, and head down the stairs on the right to get to the main level. Take care of the pair of engineers there and head through the big door on the right into the next room, where you'll find another engineer waiting for you. After he's taken care of, don't waste any time dashing for cover in the stairwell on the right. Go up the stairs and quickly deal with the gun-toting engineer. Up to the third floor, you'll see a console that obviously works the crane. You'll also see an armed striker who needs to be dealt with. Don't box with too much leisure, as you don't have much time to detain the troops from leaving. Use the console and watch the end cutscene play out. �Next �Chapter 2
