Cheating

Cheating in this game isn't as easy as other games where you just start typing in commands and end up with more ammo and loot than you can handle. You have to work for your cheats, but it's worth it. For those out there who think cheating is for wimps, you might think differently about a few Oni cheats. Besides the everyday god mode and all ammo, there are a few unique cheats that can make anyone's day brighter, like big head mode, mini mode, behemoth mode, and even a carousel mode that makes everything slow motion.

To get your cheats, you're going to need a fixed up persist.dat file. If you don't want to do any text editing (and it's generally easier not to), you can download a pre-edited one. Just put it in your Oni directory and remove the pc. or mac. from the beginning of the file name.

After you've got the new persist.dat in the right place, you'll want to run the game and bring up the diary (F1). Type the cheat code in there, and when you've typed it correctly (note: make sure your caps lock isn't on or it won't work), it will register that the cheat has been enabled. To disable a cheat, bring up the diary again and retype the cheat.
