MY FAMILY

I come from a long line of Yeohs. My father, Albert, worked as a bank officer at the HongKong Bank in Penang, and played piano at the E & O Hotel for over 40 years. My mother, Nancy, was a school teacher and also a singer (she sings songs in over 25 languages, no mean feat). I guess music was an integral part in my family. As I was growing up, me and my elder brother, Kenneth, went for piano lessons with our aunts, Geok Poh and Geok Hoon. They were instrumental in helping me to cultivate a love for classical music. I will always be indebted to them.

In the early 80's, I met a wonderful girl, Boey Hoon. Cupid struck, and we married in 1987. We have a son, Brandon, who is now 13 years old. He's a really nice addition to the family, and we love him very much. He can be mischievious at times, but then, boys will be boys.
Here I am with Boey Hoon (center) and Brandon (left). Picture taken during Chinese New Year 2006. From left, my Dad, Brandon, my Mum and Boey Hoon doing the "lor hei" during Chinese New Year 2006.
Here's our handsome son, Brandon,
in a very relaxed mood.
