The Inside Scope on Pokemon Haters
I suppose this could count as one of my lectures, but I didn't wish to make it so. After all, this is solid fact, as I have gathered over my various encounters with haters. This is, so to speak, a summary of them. Enjoy, this might help.
Haters are normally ex-Pokemon fans. That explains for why they dislike it now; because society shows it as kiddy, and they don't want to be labeled kiddy as well, and then they cower, and insult it to make themselves believe they never liked it. It's like us and Barney. Who likes Barney here? Who hasn't sung that song that goes "Joy to the world, Barney's dead. I barbecued his head"? Why do we sing that stupid song? Because we "outgrew" Barney. But obviously, Pokemon is different than Barney. Barney is exclusively kiddy, while Pokemon was originally created as a teenager, even maybe adult, anime.
Haters are also mostly arrogant, and too sure of themselves. I have no idea how a person like that can make friends, obviously, they must have a different face to their friends. Or maybe their friends are bunches of arrogant people too, and they're all arrogant hot-heads and one day will get into a fight and die, but I don't know, and I don't care. Whenever they insult me on my site, they're always sure of themselves, "I'll always pwn you, whatever." It's because they think themselves better than us, just because we like Pokemon. In other words, they underestimate others, and that, if you're a learned person, is a very stupid thing to do because it often gets you in spots of trouble... and if we were living in other times, it often got you killed (unfortunately, we can't do that here). Pathetic as they are, I think that haters are lonely, boring people who have nothing better to do than insult people they presume are eight-year-old kids. And that's really low.
Another thing is that haters don't understand just what they're insulting. Oh, sure, Pokemon, attack, battle! Anime! Cards! 150 Pokemon! An obvious sign of being former fans, and another sign that they don't know all of what they are getting. There's no point talking about something you don't fully understand; you'll just be made a fool. And that's exactly what they're doing; trying to talk about something they do not know. Many of them don't talk about all of Pokemon, insulting only one thing. And just about all of them don't understand the Japanese origins, how it was in Japan. They just see the Americanized version, think that's all there is to it. And they talk about the episodes being redundant. Well, maybe they are now because they're made by 4Kids, but haven't they ever thought of how redundant they are?
And the last thing, or the last thing I can think of in the very short time I am writing this (proves how easy it is to point all these out), is that they have no respect for others (another reason why I wonder they have friends). They don't respect us just because of something we like, not because they have met us personally and actually had a chance to draw their own conclusions. It's just from the old sayings "Don't judge a book by its cover" and all those other ones.
