My name is Putranto Sangkoyo. My wife's name is Amy My daughter's name is Syakira Amalia Sangkoyo. We call her by nickname Syasya. I put my family name behind her name. I love her sooo much. I adore her. She is the best thing in life that ever happened to me.

Early morning on August 7th 2007 I took my 49th years breath. I was born in Jakarta, Indonesia, and spent some years with my mother, brothers and sisters overseas, since my father was a diplomat.

We spent some years in Pakistan, Poland, Russia (CCCP), Denmark, and the Philippines.

My mother and my youngest sister died in a car accident in Lowicz, Poland when I was 9 (or 10) years old.

My father married again (in Poland, with an Indonesian woman) and we had a stepmother plus 1 brother and 2 sisters.

That was my childhood, long time ago, sometime in 1967-69. We are now one family. My father passed away in 1989.

I came back to Indonesia, after some years in Denmark and the Philippines, in 1983. My adult life started when I worked with a consulting firm (SGV-Utomo / Andersen Consulting) in Jakarta. 1983 until 1992.

But deep inside, I love anything related to travel. I love beaches, althou I am not at all a good swimmer. I still can't swim, literally. I love mountains, buildings (architecture). I love traveling. I am fascinated by it. Travel. I love meeting people and new environment.

I always dream of having a cottage by the beach and live there, instead of living in the middle of the city.

Whenever I have a chance and enough money, I rent a car (don't have one now), and take my wife and daugther to the beach, rent a villa, bring the nephews along, and have fun. Just to have my body in the salty ocean water, and breath fresh sea wind, and look at the horizon, blue sky, and palm trees......that's what life is to me.

Today I am a freelance programmer, mostly in Visual Foxpro 9, and it so happens that right now I am in the middle of developing an application (backoffice) for a Travel Agency here in Jakarta.
