Swami Swaprabhanandha, who is currently the Pincipal Of the Adarsha Sanskrit College, and the chief of the Sri Ramakrishna Math Arunapuram, continued, "Is God having a form or is He form less?" The prabhashana was a cognitive experience enritching the mind.. Due to Kathakali the day's ezhunnallippu started by 8:00 pm. .The Kelikottu reverberated in the evening air while the ezhunnallathu was on. By 9:00. Purappadu, which marks the official opening of the evenings kathakali fest, started. Melappadam headed by Kalamandalam Raman Namboothirri On chenda, was a treat to the ears. The stories of the evening were Nalacharitham 4th day and Dakshayagam ,the oft said but never boring sories of the kathakali enigma. Nalacharitham 4th day is the story of the reunion of Nala & Damayanthi, players of the devine love story, an excerpt from the sidelines of Mahabharatha. Nala, Played by Kottakkal Chandrashekharan, disguised as Bahukan is recognised by Damayanthi (Margi Vijayakumar), and they are reunited |  Melam During The Ulsavam | ||

The other story, Dakshayaga is a story of divine vengence. The ultimate result of undue pride is the Fall. Even Daksha is made to realize it. Sathi, Shivas wife is Dakshas daughter. Shiva is insulted by Daksha, by not being called for the Yaga that the world looks forward to. Sathi is also insulted for having attended at a n occation uninvited for. But Shivas and Sathis bhootaganas, veerabhadra and bhadrakali plunder through dakshas yaga. The element of drama, of katthiveshams which rush in from amidst the audience, the emotional swing from santha to raudra all add a distinct flavour to this katha, which is of course a popular one in Shiva temples in Kerala. This year the kaliyogam was Margi from Thiruvanathapuram. Kalamandalam Haidarali was not able to join the programme .But his absence was well compensated by Kalamandalam Haridas, whose exemplary rendition enthralled the audience. | ||
