Problems Around the Resort.
From 2008 each unit will have an audited inventory list. As soon as it is possible for our present receptionist to arrange it, on arrival you will be presented with a list of the inventory of the unit. This will be given to owners, RCI exchanges and Renters. It will be your responsibility to check and sign and return this form within 24 hours to reception noting any discrepancies. If during your stay you find anything wrong in your unit or around the resort, report it to Reception at the earliest opportunity. The receptionist will make out a report for the Maintenance staff to act on. Either immediately or at next change over day. It is no good waiting until you get back home and phone or email a committee member about a problem. Do it yourself while you are at the resort. You can then check if it is rectified. We have had some rather daft Emails over the last few months regarding problems. One owner was going to withhold his maintenance unless all the petrol pumps were working by the Port Office. I am afraid that is out of the committee's control. So were several others about problems round the harbour. Part of your maintenance fee does go to the common fund from all the port businesses to keep the area clean and tidy. This area includes the car park above the boatyard covered workshops and as far as the bridge as you go to the beach. If you have any concerns about these areas outside the resort then Email them to the Port at [email protected] . Another owner was withholding their maintenance fee because they did not get their beds made 7 days a week. Now I know you are on holiday but you do get the unit cleaned and sheets and towels changed 5 days a week. Surely for 2 days you can pull the sheets up as you get out of bed. I was always taught to make your bed tidy as soon as you got out of it. The committee is always willing to help if a problem can not be resolved while you are at the resort. If you have reported a problem and it has not been solved during your stay Then ask the receptionist for an update before you leave. It may require a part or an expert repair and that can take time. The Canarians are the worlds greatest exponents of the Maņana syndrome and often embarrass the mainland Spanish visitors. POOLSIDE UMBRELLAS & SUN BEDS This is an ongoing problem and these items are expensive to replace. Most damage is caused to the umbrellas by them blowing over, especially at night. All users can help by removing the umbrella from it's pole and laying it closed on an adjacent sun bed when they have finished with it, especially at night. We did manage to persuade an Ice Cream company it was in their interests to provide us with some blue umbrellas with their names on for publicity from passing coaches. We may not be so lucky again. Decent sized heavy duty umbrellas cost about 70Euros each. |
