Queso Incident No "Joke" - BU's Reputation is being damaged!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyone who thinks the Queso incident will go away quietly must be too young to remember Watergate.

What might have been forgiven and forgotten by a simple sincere apology (to the VICTIM!) and suitable punishment for the boys (probably some CSR time) has become a test of wills - fueled by the big-fish-small-town, Nixonian attitudes of President Sloan, Coach Smith and AD Stanton.

While the Administration may be able to protect its privileged, pampered athletes from the legal consequences of their actions, it has done nothing to avert the worldwide damage to Baylor's name and reputation - in the court of Public Opinion.

Baylor University is now known on all of the Earth's continents for its callous indifference to animal cruelty due to its comically insufficient disciplinary penalty.

The insulting comments, outrageous statements and insulting e-mails made by Baylor's representatives - in response to honest inquiries by concern citizens - has only fanned the flames. They have removed all doubt that the issue is a mere misunderstanding of the school's position.

Believe me, Bear Buddies, that ain't good for 'ole BU - either academically or athletically.

Auggie has got to be behind this effort. And Mr Pilgrim, since you don't bother to fill out your bio, you very well be Auggie.

Dear Scott,

1) Who is Auggie?
2) What does that have to do with the topic?
3) Try reading it again - for the meaning this time, OK?
4) I'll check into the Bio deal - didn't see it when signing up.
5) Were you born after 1975? Oh, I'll just check your Bio!

Pilgrim,

I doubt they have received very few honest concerns from concerned citizens. More likely they have received many emails and letters from parties with a vested interest in keeping this issue on the front burner.

HG,
Exactly. Thats why I mentioned Auggie.

Pilgrim,
I'll throw you some advise. What happened was horrible, but this topic has been beaten into the ground on the Baylor BBS boards, so posting about it here will not do anything. Drive to Pat Neff or to a courthouse if you want to do something, but don't post it here.

Homegrown,

Oh, but there's where you're wrong. Don't you realize that word of this incident (and how Baylor officials are handling it) has reached every state in the U.S., as well as the UK and Canada?

There are a lot more people than you think who are aware of what's happening at Baylor and the callous political manner in which it is being handled by Smith and the others. And they *are* honest people with honest concerns. And they're people who are outraged at what happened to Queso and how it's being dealt with.

Baylor's reputation is going down the tubes fast. Trust me.

Jamie

Stirring the pot to make BU look bad. I guess we should start a thread about how Meat Loaf played football at Tech, Janis Joplin was voted ugliest man on campus at CowU, and a$m is in Collie Station. How about going to the Tech boards and mentioning how they had a real murderer on their baseball team?

HUH?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You vegetarians who think all animal life is so precious have really missed the boat. Studies have shown that plants thrive better in certain environments, such as one where soothing music is played. Classical music is particularly well recieved, while those exposed to C&W music tend to shrivel up and fail to thrive. Could plants be soulless with such intelligent responses? Why, I'm appalled that one would consider eating such precious creatures of God's creation. This is no joke.

I'm a Christian and to imagine such a callous disregard for plant life has really grieved me no end. The sanctity of ALL life, including plant life, must be upheld, even if it means punishing the highest members of the food chain, for any violation of the rights of these poor plants. Just imagine the last thoughts of a terrified wheat stalk as a mechanized death rumbles down upon it in the field. I can barely stand the thought. You murderers must be held accountable. Haven't you learned from Jesus' example in the wilderness that all you need to live is prayer and water?

I'd like to tell you that I'm praying for you that God will change your attitudes, but I'm not. I'm filled with hatefulness for lifeforms like you who make such a mockery of the sanctity of all life. You want to narrow it down to just animals and creatures when you talk about life. HERESY! Where do you get off with these shallow interpretations? Anyone with half a brain can see that God loves and respects all life. And sirs, YOU are NOT superior to God, even though you think you are to the rest of us.

SOOO, until you can get some consistency with the Bible and your pioused attitudes, SHUT YOUR PIEHOLES!!!! Please, God forgive me for lashing out - I'm just trying to protect your creation, and I know you need the help.
