What Happened Before
Two pairs of dark eyes glare.
One would kill the other.
The other would rather flee again.
To save her friends,
A Chioce she must make
And a name she must speak.
Neither she wants to do or say,
But she does it anyway.
It turned out wrong.
His eyes filled with rage,
His heart with love and hate,
For the child in front of him.
He batters her soul,
Demanding her core
And all her power with it.
She fights him,
But he is without mercy.
Finally, she summits.
Somehow one not there objects
Where all there could not,
And from within linked minds,
Something explodes and stabs.
Her fight restored,
Her power joins.
Seeing the danger his soul is in,
He concedes too late.
"I'm not finished yet!" he screams.
"But I am," comes her soft reply.
And she leaves quickly as if in fear.
But he would not be fogotten.
For six turns of seasons,
She has been his prey.
He knows her name, you see.
She'll find to peace from the likes of he.
The author of Innocent Tears, Twinslayer's Tale, and What Happened Before wishes to remain unknown.
