TWINSLAYER'S TALE
Two brothers alike in power
One soul long before lost
The other barely hanging on
A dead man's last request
Brings both to a child's side
One's a savior
A protecting light
The other a monster
An intruding night
A child's spirit torn in two
Her mentality coming unglued
Innocence fading, finally lost
But is love to be the cost?
Too many dreams forced
Too many screams heard
A child's hand, pale and small
Covered with the blood of all
With eyes as empty
As the soul she's just seen
She looks to the future
It's not beyond her keen
Tears slip pass boundaries held
More within her eyes swell
Gifts given cannot be undo
No matter how she'd wish them to
She sees time
With eyes by it unblinded
She holds her secerts very close
Hiding from those she cares most
She screams at her mercy
"How can you be so weak!"
But it only turns the other cheek
She yearns for something
She knows doesn't exist
For if it did
She'd be a Innocent still
Or powerless as is her will
Inside she sobs unendingly
As she curses all she was born to be
And all she was trained to do
"Forget me!" she shouts
Knowing no one will hear or agree
She's a lengend
It's what she was born to be
She curls into a fetal ball
Hoping to forget it all
Yearning to undo sins
Long ago done
Prana of Twins
Her chosen prey
She shudders at the cold of her soul
She's no longer the child
And it was never just a dream.
