APRIL   2000
Greetings to all of you in the name of Jesus from the land of the big spring thaw! Its been in the 50s here for the last week but plenty of snow remains with much water! A big thanks to all of you who pray, give and take an interest in what is happening over here on this side of the earth!  

                              LADIES MEETING
Last Saturday we had a ladies meeting in our church here all complete with flowers and international cooking!!! Yes we gave them a meal. It was Italian spaghetti sauce over rice. I guess you couldn't imagine who made the sauce........ yes!!! You are right! I did , for 100 people plus 10 children and about 10 men who helped serve! Kelly Williams and Natasha Bonde came over from Nizhni Novgarad to minister to our ladies! They did a great job. We are believing God to raise up a strong women's ministry here in the church. (and a cooking ministry too??? well maybe that also!!!)

                 CONFERENCE ON THE FAMILY
About 4 weeks ago Larry and Rinalda Roquin came and did a seminar for us on the family and for single people. Now all our singles are engaged and............ ha! not really!!!  But what Larry and Rinalda shared was great for singles as well as marrieds. We had many people in attendance. The church from Chebaksorry and New Chebaksorry also came to spend the whole day Saturday with us.

We are still getting reports on how the people really enjoyed the
conference and are asking when they will return!!! (I need to tell Larry this!)  One girl who translated for us was really touched. On Sunday Larry ministered on the "fathers blessing"  and this one interpreter went home to her parents and repented before them and then her father actually prayed with her and her mother which was a first! she was sooooo excited! God is moving!

                           LAST SUNDAY SERVICE
Yesterday, (Sunday) I was ministering on fulfilling your destiny in God. I shared with them that in my furthest dreams that I never never imagined that God would have me as a pastor in Russia and probably the only American in the whole city !!!! and on top of that being single and walking in victory!!  Wow what a great God we serve!!!!  GLORY!!!!

One of the points I made in my 9 point sermon (yes nine!) was that God is changing us from glory to glory.(2Cor.3:18)
Since I have been here in Yoshkar-Ola I have really felt God's
presence in our  church services  in a new and powerful way.
Many times in our services I just feel that I have to bow down to the ground because of the presence of the King!  Yesterday one little gypsy girl of about 10 was on her face before the Lord for at least 10 minutes in our service.  One or two weeks ago I remember maybe 8 children with their faces bowed down before King Jesus in one of our services! wow it was awesome.

Yes Jesus is coming soon. What God wants is His will done on the earth as it is in heaven...... I heard that before somewhere! So if they bow and worship in heaven we will do it here too on the earth!!!  Pray with us as we are believing God for a big harvest this year and that God would give us wisdom on how to keep the harvest he sends us.

These pictures  were taken a few weeks ago before the  big spring thaw started. That is not snow on the trees but frost!!! , almost one inch of it covered everything. There was a thick fog that past night and it froze on everything. It was so beautiful. I am standing right in front of the apartment building that I live in.
