Ø       Xilinx Asia Pacific Pte Ltd (Aug 2005 ~ till date)

Senior Test Product Engineer (Jan 2005 - till date)

• Develop/Debug test program/modules in J750 tester for FPGA products.
• Improve test coverage, limits optimization, improve yield, reduce test time, ensure reliability and production sustaining.
• Write scripts to enhance automation dealing with data collection, operator interface and data crunching and interpreting
• Perform New Product Introduction that includes verification and characterization since the tapeout of first silicon. Ensure test coverage at both wafersort and final test.

Ø       STATSCHIPPAC, Singapore. (1999~ Aug 2005)

Senior Test Product Engineer (Jan2005 - Aug 2005)

¨       Conduct product transfers/offloads that also involve product characterization and providing value added test solutions. Also take care of Customer Return Evaluation and analysis.

¨       Develop/Debug test programs/modules in Catalyst/Tiger testers for mixed signal products [PRML & RF transceivers]. Perform socket/pin, tester qualification, repair Load boards.

¨       Lead two teams of Test Product Engineers handling activities of Customer Focus Product Engineering and Product Line Sustaining Engineers of a major customer base, whose strength is in Data Storage (Read Channel/Integration) & RF transceivers. Also mentor junior engineers/fresher on Test Product Engineering.

¨       Take up large-scale projects concerning yield improvement and Test Program optimization for better Test Coverage and test time/cost reduction. Well versed in using DOE, FMEA, MSA, ESDA, RCA and SPC.

Team Leader - Test Product Engineer (Jan2004 – Dec2004)

¨       Write shell/PERL scripts to improve the test production environment (involving startlot, endlot and other tester-operator GUIs).

¨       Do new product transfers from the customer development site and improve the test yield using modifications in test program and hardware/fixtures. Also handle customer returns and use the Industry standard Root Cause Analysis techniques to identify and fix the root causes.

¨       Lead a team of Product engineers handling a major customer base, having their base Data-storage products tested in Catalyst and Tiger platforms.

Test Product Engineer (Jan2002 – Jan2004)

¨       Characterization of Mixed signal devices, Qualification/Correlation of new testers & other test interfaces. Also take care of test hardware and software releases and repair/maintenance.

¨       Offload / transfer of new products from customer site to production test environment (FT & WS). This is done by conducting offload meetings, developing production-custom GUI/scripts, updating internal specifications and giving training to other depts.

¨       Provide lot dispositions and handle complex test/reliability flows ensuring least cycle time and meeting all quality standards.

Sr. Associate Test Product Engineer (Aug1999 – Jan2002)

¨       Providing Product engineering line support on failure/lot verification either due to Low yield / QA failures, and provide disposition to individual lots.

¨       Qualify/Correlate new testers due to ramp in volume.

¨       Handle minor projects related to test time reduction, improve test coverage and test process improvement. Take care of test software and hardware releases and their repair/maintenance.

Ø       SPIC Electronic & System Ltd. (SPEL), Chennai, India. (1997~1999)

Project Engineer – Testing

¨       Design & Development of Test Software and Hardware for various Digital & Analog ICs like Clocked Logics, Quick Switches, R, RC, RCD Networks, Ethernet Transceivers etc.

¨       Leading a Test Engineering Team dealing with Network Products like 10/100 Base-T Ethernet Transceivers. Also manage the loadboard/DUT card repairs and tester/handler maintenance.

¨       Traveling to customer sites in USA for product transfer to SPEL, India for mass production.
