Both Norman and Deborah are buried in the Hillside Cemetery, Portage La Prairie, Manitoba. Margaret and her husband John were best friend with their cousins, my grandparents Iola Prout and Clarke Winters. It was at Margaret and John Glennis house that they were first introduced to each other in 1928. Muxlow Born October 18, 1874 AKA Agnes Zella Doan Died 1943 The 1901 Canadian Ontario census taken in the township of Warwick Village, Lambton County recorded that Albert and Nella were living with the senior Clark's along with two of their children. Albert was a farmer and eventually they moved to Allen, Saskatchewan. Albert and Nella had six children namely: Ernest Clark born August 12, 1897 in Ontario. Ernie eventually lived in Stalwart, Saskatchewan. Ray of Wynyard, Saskatchewan; James born September 12, 1896 in Ontario and settled in Colonsay, Saskatchewan; Mrs. Paul Cady, Transcona, Manitoba; Mrs. A.L. Caskey, London, Ontario and Mrs. R.C. Turner, Soverign, Saskatchewan. At the time of Albert's death in 1949 he had thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. |

Thomas Howes Clark Born June 13, 1833 Yorkshire, England Died December 24, 1915 Portage La Prairie, Manitoba Married March 24, 1857 in Warwick Township, Lambton County, Ontario to: Mary Jane Tompkins Born February 18, 1834 Beckwith Township, Lanark County, Ont. Baptized December 4, 1834 Died June 27, 1920 Portage La Prairie, Manitoba *** Thomas was the son of John Clark and Fanny Howes. *** *** The 1901 Canadian Census record of Warwick Township, Lambton County, Ontario recorded that Thomas immigrated in 1835 at the age of 2. It also listed his occupation as that of a farmer. Mary and Thomas had nine children namely: Emmeline; William; Esther; Eli, Ira; Isabella; Deborah; Phoebe and Albert. Several years before they died Thomas and Mary visited their eldest daughter in Portage La Prairie. During that visit Thomas suffered a debilitating stroke and they never returned to Ontario. Thomas and Mary lived out the rest of their days with Emmeline and her family in Portage. *** |
