In 1835, Elisha and Mary Tompkins moved to Brooke Township in Lambton County, Ontario.   According to the 1851 Canadian Census records, they lived in Metcalf Township, Middlesex County on sw half concession 3, lot 1.  They had eleven children namely: Robert; Elizabeth; Mary Jane; Rosanna, Rebecca; Phoebe; Ann; Naomi; Martha; Caroline and Samuel.

As recorded in the  1861 Canadian census they were living in Adelaide Township, Middlesex County (near or in the village of Adelaide) and then moved back to Warwick.  Upon their deaths they were buried there in the United Church Cemetery.  ***
