| Robert Collier Born 1829 Gloucestershire, England Died February 10, 1906 Married December 9, 1857 to: Maria (Mary) Humphries Born January, 1841 Adelaide, Ontario, Candaa Died May 9, 1914 Robert Collier came to Canada with his parents at the age of three. His parents settled in Middlesex County, Ontario when that part of Ontario was dense with forest. With his parents Robert experienced all the trial of early Canadian settlers. Many times they travelled nothing more than a trail through the woods out to what is now the city of London, Ontario. As a young man Robert drove an old stage coach pulled by a team of four horses and was well known to the travelling public in those early days. He, along with his wife became devoted members of the Salavation Army and passed their strong faith on to their children. Robert at his death was remembered as one of the best known and loved residents of Lambton County Ontario and out of respect for him over one hundered carriages follwed him to his last resting place. Both Robert and Maria are buried in the Watford Cemetery, Lambton County Ontario.
