The following assignments are due next week (Week 8):
- Due Monday, 3/12: Detailed WBS, outlining what you will accomplish each week between now and the end of the semester
- Due Tuesday, 3/13: Technology report, 5 minute presentation on one of the assigned subjects. Discuss the different types of formats - particularly those used on the internet, pros and cons of each, technology and software necessary to capture/create/edit formats
- Graphic formats
- Streaming Video formats
- Audio formats
- Due Wednesday, 3/14: Presentation on the work you have accomplished on your project so far
and detailed description of next steps
- 5 minutes long
- Must use PowerPoint
- Due Thursday, 3/15: PowerPoint Producer presentation for your website

Due on Day 4: Write the first draft of the marketing plan for your project. You must have the six parts that are described in the handout, "How to write a Marketing Plan." Email to the instructor before class on Thursday, March 1.
You must have a minimum of two journal entries in your composition book. The journals will be collected every Monday and returned to you on Tuesday. Journal entries are meant to reflect the creative process. Write about ideas you have for your project, make notes on people you have spoken with or interviewed, clip newspaper articles of interest, etc. |

Due on Day 4: Give a 3 - 5 minute speech on a topic that you are really interested in or excited about. The speech will be videotaped and burned onto a disk with your last speech. Compare and contrast the two. What differences do you see? To what do you attribute those differences? Be prepared to discuss this in class at the end of week 7.
You must have a minimum of two journal entries in your composition book. The journals will be collected every Monday and returned to you on Tuesday. |

Day 1: Draw a first draft mind map of your project. You must have a minimum of 7 branches and extend out to two or more levels. Present in class on Tuesday, 2/13.
Outline a plan for this week of how you will work on the documents listed below. For example:
- Monday night: write first draft of project plan;
- Tuesday night: Write first draft of WBS and WSP;
- Wednesday night: Revise/finalize all three documents and prepare for speech
Due on Day 4: The final drafts of the following documents for your service project are due by the end of class on Thursday:
- Project Plan - be sure to address the 12 knowledge areas
- Work Breakdown Structure - use either the Excel template on left or MS Project in class
- Web Site Plan, including site diagram
You must have a minimum of two journal entries in your composition book. The journals will be collected every Monday and returned to you on Tuesday. The first time I collect your journal will be on Tuesday, Feb. 20 (Mon, 2/19 is a holiday). Day 4: Give a 10 minute presentation where you review the above documents for the class. |

Day 1: Each person has been assigned an underground music genre. Choose a group within that genre and determine how you will showcase that group as part of this project. Check the CyberFair Requirements document, starter ideas section (posted under week 2) for ideas. Write up your plan for showcasing the group and email to the instructor before Thursday's class, 2/8.
Day 2: Give a 5 minute presentation on the project challenge statements you are considering for your individual/small group project in class. Be prepared for 5 minutes of Q&A from the class about your presentation/topics. You will be graded according the Oral Presentation Rubric.
In class I said I would post the links to Microsoft Producer for PowerPoint 2003. However, every link I have for the site displays an ad for PowerPoint 2007. You can download Producer from this link. I will do a demo in class on Thursday..
Day 3: In PowerPoint (or other MS Office application), draw a site diagram of either a well-developed website or your project website. You must extend down a minimum of 3 levels and have a minimum of 12 pages in the diagram. Email to instructor before class on Thursday, 2/8. For those of you who missed class, email to instructor before class on Monday, 2/12.
Day 4: There is no homework today. However, the project plan, WBS, and website diagram for your service project are due by end of class, Thursday, 2/16. You may want to get started on those projects if you have time over the weekend. |

Day 4: Read the two posts in the Instructor's blog. How has that affected your project challenge statements? Post a comment in response to the posting about ideas for your service project before Monday's class. |

Day 3: Create a list of 5 - 10 activities/tasks that can be done on your assigned Cyberfair category - class discussion

- Sign up for an msn/hotmail ID if you do not already have one by Monday, 1/29
- Post a message to the instructor on this website's blog by Monday, 1/29
- Write at least 3 project challenge statements (first drafts) for your individual/small group project - email to instructor by Monday, 1/29
