CitiYouth for Causes - Project Closure

Mar 29th 2003 saw the four of us making our final presentation to the panel of judges at YMCA, and that finally concludes our 2-month long participation in this CitiYouth for Causes program.

Through this project, we have sharpened our problem solving skills and broaden our networks. We also strengthen our project management skills, learn about volunteer management and most importantly how to maximize resources and working within constrains.

Special thanks to our friends and volunteers whose display of perseverance, commitment and passion has made a difference to the people around us. They believed in the cause and have provided much encouragement to the whole team.

Further Developments...

  • Our team managed to receive much kind sponsorship from all quarters, totaling more than $3600.
  • Some of the volunteers are already starting to help out at Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital on their own initiatives, even bringing along their friends and families.
  • In recognition of the high standard of the exhibition photographs, some of these have been sent to a competition in the United Kingdom. Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital is now on the world map! Thanks to the team of talented and enthusiastic photographers.
  • Project Lifestyle has started to collaborate with NVC for future potential projects.

And this is where we also welcome like-minded individuals to join us and suggest feasible projects that we can do in time to come.
Please step forward with your ideas, and let us work together to make a real difference to our society.
