Located at the port side in Santiago de Cuba, the Soybean Processing Company (Procesadora de Soya, S.A.) is a new facility that began its operations in 2001.  It uses state of the art German and Israeli technology to produce Defatted Soy Flour, Textured Soy Protein, Lecithin, Soy Meal and Soy Oil.

The five fundamental PDS´ areas are the following:

• Soybean reception and storage and soy meal storage.                                    

• Soybean cleaning and preparation for extraction.
• Soy oil and Lecithin extraction.

• Preparation of flour, Textured production and storage of bagged products.

• Generation of steam, air and water for cooling the system.

The facility has a production capacity based on the consumption of 500t/day with an uninterrupted work regime.
