About Our Family

We enjoy traveling to the Southwest each winter where we stay from early January till early March in a suite at the Clarion Hotel in Tucson, Arizona. We have established many new friendships during our travels, seeing these friends each winter, and at other times throughout the year. We have been traveling to Arizona for the past 20 years and have become quite fond of the numerous activities that we have found in the Tucson area. Needless to say there are plenty of fine restaurants and we have tried a great many of them throughout the years. There are numerous things to entertain one during a visit to Tucson and there are many day trips to the surrounding areas.

On the many warm and sunny afternoons during January and February we swim and lounge by the pool at our hotel. We are envied by many friends when we return in March with a good suntan. The suite that we occupy has a great view as it has a balcony with an unobstructed view of the entire pool and courtyard area.

Children

Between us we have a total of 9 children, all grown and scattered throughout the United States, living in the states of Texas, Arizona, Washington, Montana, and of course, Michigan. We like to visit them whenever we can, but unfortunately a great deal of mileage is involved and so we don't get to see them as often as we would like.

Grandchildren

We have a combined total of 14 grandchildren ranging in age from 8 months to 28 years of age. The grown grandchildren are scattered throughout the United States and abroad, working in the private sector and in the armed forces. Some are married and starting their own families while the remainder are students attending college, high school, and grade school.
